The positions function through the Clinical Pastoral Education program accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE, Inc.). CPE Chaplain Residency program provides the necessary training for board certified chaplains through the Association for Professional Chaplains, Inc. (APC, Inc.). Expected to perform as a professional Chaplain in providing direct patient, family and staff pastoral care. Responsible for consultation and involvement with the interdisciplinary staff regarding spiritual assessment and patient care. Expected to function in accordance with the "Rights and Responsibilities of Chaplain Residents" outlined in the letter of agreement signed at the beginning of the CPE program year. Participate in the on-call rotation for the Pastoral Care Services department and lead worship services in the hospital chapel Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Participates in the learning activities that are a part of the educational program for each unit of CPE in which you are enrolled. "Learning activities" include Pastoral Care Seminars, individual and peer supervision and other activities that are described in each unit's syllabus. Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Qualifications Education - Bachelor's degree. Master's degree in theology or divinity or education for ministry as required by the resident's denomination preferred.
