As a Police Officer Trainee, you will be paid full salary while receiving comprehensive training through the Tennessee Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy. This work may involve personal risk and requires sound, independent judgment in all situations. All uniforms and equipment are provided by the department. In addition, you will be issued a take home patrol car.
