CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide in-person support to the customer - addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery.
Communicate with dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use.

Position Summary
Drives up to a 20-ton truck loaded with compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard goods to deliver to customers on scheduled route. Home daily!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs pre and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies and ensures all safety items are in good working order.
Safely delivers hard goods orders and cylinders containing compressed gases to customers; returns empty cylinders to the plant for refilling.
Maintains load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.
Establishes and maintains good customer relations by communicating in person with customers, providing information on cost, ordering and delivery times, etc.
Identifies and monitors customer needs and works with them to maintain proper hard good and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
Operates a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
Complies with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
Maintains appropriate driver's licenses and endorsements.
Maintains neat, clean, and professional personal appearance, and maintains vehicle appearance in a professional manner.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be at least 21 years old.
