Essential Functions:

Conducts daily post-trip vehicle inspection as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
Maintains vehicles to ensure safe conditions; includes daily inspections of tires, lights, signals, glass, etc. Vehicle fluids and tire air pressures must be checked and serviced daily
Ensures vehicle is ready for next-day business; including fuel fills and pre-loads, whenever possible
Learns and understands equipment thoroughly to ensure safe operations
Demonstrates to customers how to operate the equipment being delivered to them in a safe and effective manner
Inspects all equipment for damage at time of pick up. Documents findings and submits damage information to Rental Counter personnel upon return to the store or branch location

We are currently seeking a Fuel Transport Driver with an excellent driving record. Experience in the petroleum industry is preferred but not required. The right candidate will have a Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a minimum of 1 year's tractor/trailer driving experience. Qualifications

I. Job Summary
The Driver Container safely operates a heavy-duty crane mounted truck and is responsible for loading, and transporting material containers to/from customer locations. Drivers will navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operates vehicle in accordance with WM Safety and Life Critical Rules. OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.).
Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
Participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by WM or Operations Manager.
Works closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
Notifies Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage.
Notifies Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, street, alleyways or potential safety hazards.
Communicates customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
Completes and submits customer tickets as required.
Completes site evaluations to ensure locations are conductive for safe and proper servicing.
Positions and / or returns container on the customer's property in a manner that ensures lids and or doors are properly replaced, and do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and the check out process.
Performs all duties as scheduled by Operations Manager or Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.

Education and Experience: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, one (1) year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.

Maintain vehicle in a neat and tidy condition daily.
Carry out regular vehicle/equipment checks as directed daily.
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
Ability to safely drive various vehicles.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
No Major violations in the past five years (DWI, Unlawful use, Drag Racing, Speed contest, Wrong Way, Reckless operation).
No more than two minor violations in the past three years or no more than one chargeable accident with one minor violation in the past three years and no at fault accidents for truckers.
All drivers operation light to medium units must be 21or older.
All drivers operating heavy and extra heavy trucks or tractor trailer units must be 23 with at least 2 years experience driving similar vehicles
All drivers must have a valid license for class of vehicle being operated.
All accidents are to be considered at fault unless a police report is provided with the initial application showing driver “not at fault” or not contributing to the occurrence.
Physician's statement must be obtained on drivers 65 yrs of age or older.

For this role, we look for individuals to be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering equipment, products, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Primary Responsibilities
Operates vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals
Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area
Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete
Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance malfunctions to Shipping Supervisor
Arranges trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points
Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
Must hold either a commercial drivers license or chauffeur's license depending on state, appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated
Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
Must pass DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10k lbs
Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time
Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time
Must be able to travel frequently
CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven in order to deliver to EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
