Job Purpose:

Description of Essential Duties:
Load trucks with propane cylinders
Deliver propane cylinders to assigned route
Routes are designed to sell or exchange 300-550 tanks a day, it is physically demanding
Properly fill out driver logs and daily paperwork and mail paperwork to the main office daily
Complete assigned routes in a logical sequence ensuring all delivery times are met and working at a steady pace while delivering the propane cylinders, maintaining safety.
Perform all truck maintenance, on a daily basis, verify all safety supplies are on the truck, keep inside and outside of truck clean and orderly, and notify manager of any issues that need to be fixed.
Maintain positive friendly working relationships with all customers, meeting delivery window time frames and dependable and reliable expectations.

Alternate Job Title: Portable Restroom Driver Job Summary: The Pump Truck Driver operates the pump truck on pre-determined routes, controlling the truck's pump or similar equipment to collect waste from portable sanitation units and deposit their contents into the truck. Job Classification: Full-time & Part-time; non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Location: Lake Charles, LA area Pay Range: $22 to $27 Responsibilities:
Operates pump truck on a pre-determined route; safely controls the pump as required to collect receptacles and deposit their contents in the truck.
Hook up and pull trailers.
Performs and documents pre-operation safety checks on the vehicle prior to embarking on the route.
Refuels truck and performs basic maintenance.
Facilitates proper maintenance and mechanical service on truck by appropriate mechanics.
Transports waste to the proper location for processing and/or disposal.
Notifies dispatchers and/or supervisors of delays, unsafe sites, accidents, breakdowns, or other issues and documents the same.
Maintains logs of pickup times, daily mileage, and dump logs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3 years of required commercial driving experience, 5 years required
Must be at least 25 years of age or older, due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles.
TWIC card preferred.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends during the Storm season.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A valid Driver's License or similar classification to operate a pump truck is required.
CDL license preferred
Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends) when needed.
Ability to work and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Open and close the rental yard per company procedure
Perform daily vehicle safety inspections on truck and trailer, promptly report any issues to manager
