A day in the life:
A Cleaner is responsible for basic cleaning, including cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, windows, furniture, fixtures, stairs, chairs, tables, telephones, drinking fountains, trashing, dusting, polishing, and other assigned items/areas. We have multiple shifts available as well as both full-time, part-time, and seasonal opportunities.
What you'll do as an Exceptional Team Member
Responsible for all basic cleaning
Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
Empty trash and recycling bins, and dispose of waste properly
Cleaning includes sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in all areas
Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and vacuums
Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management
Performs additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas, incidental spills, and related clean-up work for trash and restroom concerns
What you'll need to be an Extraordinary Team Member

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks across designated outbuildings, including restrooms, offices, kitchens, locker rooms, stairwells, and storage areas.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all flooring surfaces; maintain strip/wax and burnish routines on VCT and epoxy floors as scheduled.
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including door handles, workstations, phones, sinks, light switches, and restrooms.
Restock restroom and kitchen supplies including toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and seat covers.
Clean and maintain break rooms, including wiping down appliances (microwave, refrigerator, coffee stations) and polishing fixtures.
Empty, clean, and re-line trash and recycling containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Perform high and low dusting of surfaces including vents, ledges, furniture, signage, and ceiling corners.
Ensure eyewash stations, drinking fountains, and water coolers are clean and inspected for operability.
Maintain cleanliness of facility exteriors including entrances, dumpster areas, and smoke huts.
Monitor and report any facility damage, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to site supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Must be able to understand clear directions and follow all safety protocols while working as a team member. Industrial Cleaners will be expected to constantly work on their feet while performing tasks and wear the required safety gear including all PPE for the location. Some of these may include appropriate respirators, face masks, eye goggles or safety glasses, hard hats, ear plugs, high visibility vests, steel toed shoes and other as needed for the work area. Must be able to work at heights without fear as you walk on grating floor areas to get to locations to be cleaned. Other duties may be assigned
Receives assignment or task instructions from supervisor/manager/lead daily.
Gathers equipment (i.e. Sweeper, brooms, electrical backpacks, extension pole, power head vacuum, heavyweight feather duster, etc.) needed for assigned tasks and conducts an inspection of the equipment and Pre-Post of rider sweeper if used. Notifies supervisor of any maintenance problems or repairs.
Utilizes a tucker pole, (i.e. extension pole) equipped with nylon brushes to dust off beams and remove cobwebs. Cleans under conveyors, slides etc. using brooms, blowers or vacuums.
Identifies areas that catch coal debris overflow from the conveyors and removes debris.
Utilizes catwalks/scaffolding or aerial lifts to reach high elevations. Gathers equipment utilized, cleans the equipment and returns equipment to the storage area at the end of the shift.
Cleans and organizes storage area on a daily basis.
Completes any daily paperwork that his/her position requires.
Participates in ISO teams and embraces ISO principles and philosophies in the performance of principal duties and responsibilities.
Makes Safety the first consideration above all other responsibilities. Follows all safety rules and uses sound judgment for the protection of him/herself, co-workers, client personnel, client invitees, general public and property. Participates in safety training and attends safety meetings as scheduled by Supervisor. Also, responsible to report to his/her supervisor any unsafe conditions or practices and use “Stop Work” protocol when necessary.
