Redlands USD company history timeline
He and others formed a temporary committee on April 21, 1917, to establish the Redlands chapter.
In 1918, Cope became chair of the Civilian Relief Committee, which later became known as the Home Service Committee.
He brought this idea back to Washington D.C. Finally. congress adopted the Pledge of Allegiance in 1924.
Through the work of this organization a new building was erected and formally dedicated January 30, 1930.
Formed in 1943, it became West Rowan Junior High School.
In 1943, the PTA decided to rename the school, and chose to honor Rufus A. Clement, who had provided the land and provided moral and financial support for the school through the years.
On April 22, 1957, 457 seventh and eighth grade students met for the first time on the campus of E. M. Cope Junior High School.
When Cope transitioned from a junior high to a middle school in 1993, students voted on green and blue as their new school colors.
