Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform the duties as Clinical Laboratory Technician 1. Under direct supervision of the lab manager, receives and documents receipt of commodities in inventory tracking system, becomes proficient in shipping supplies and specimens, assists laboratory staff with maintenance, calibrations, answering telephone calls, accessioning specimens, and performs low complexity and non-CLIA laboratory testing.

* Verifies proper receipt and distribution of laboratory supplies including reagents and other consumables.
* Receives training and becomes proficient in Category A and Category B packaging and shipping procedures and routine shipment of supplies.
