In this role, you will:
The Molecular Technologist is responsible for performing moderate and high complexity clinical sample testing within the Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory. Performs daily laboratory testing and analyzes, reviews, and reports test results. Maintains proficiency on a wide variety of molecular methods and technologies. Assists in training of personnel and competency assessments.
Performs high complexity clinical assays according to written SOPs
Ensures specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing.
General laboratory operations: keeping a neat work area, attending meetings, and complying with laboratory procedures and safety practices
Analyzes reviews, and reports test and quality control results and takes remedial action when indicated
Enters and verifies data within the clinical LIMS system
Maintain analytical instruments, schedules authorized routine service, and maintains instrument documentation
Performs, enters, and maintains Quality Control assessments and data
Monitors laboratory data systems, conducts statistical metric analysis
Performs and documents reagent Quality Control verification
File documentation associated with daily production runs.
All you need is:
B.S. degree in Medical Technology or Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science AND three years of pertinent laboratory experience
OR an M.S. degree in Medical Technology or Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science AND one year of pertinent laboratory experience.
New York State License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Histocompatibility, and/or Molecular.

Position Summary
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs laboratory testing using both manual and automated techniques. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following:
Understands and adheres to the WPH performance standards, policies, and behaviors
Laboratory testing personnel responsibilities include:
Following the laboratory's pre-analytic and analytic procedures and maintaining records of these tests
Maintaining records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens
Adhering to the laboratory's quality assurance procedures, including documenting all:
Quality control activities including quality control testing and calibrations
Instrument and equipment verifications
Maintenance and preventative maintenance
Following the laboratory's policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established performance specifications
Identifying and documenting problems that may adversely affect test performance and notifying the supervisor, assistant director or director and documenting all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications
Ensures the accuracy and quality of all results from pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases of testing.
Notifies and documents clinicians and patient units of all critical values and maintains the laboratory STAT turn around time requirements.
Participates in regulatory readiness for CAP, AABB, NYSDOH, and Joint Commission.
Maintains 12 Continuing Education credits per year.
Understands and participates in standard operating procedures, proficiency testing, inspection audits, quality program including reporting non-conformances.
Evaluates test results for abnormalities and confirms those results per department protocols where required.
Participates in validations, training, and competency assessments as required.
Responsible for inventory management of lot numbers, expiration dates, labeling, and QC requirement.
Completes all annual mandatory training, in-services, and ongoing education as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Follow approved guidelines when troubleshooting and carry out appropriate course of action when control values and/or instrument functions checks are invalid or inconsistent.
Review patient results prior to release to the electronic medical record. Correlate final results with known facts concerning patient history/previous values and recognize the validity of results and identify/reject those results that are illogical.
Communicate critical values and barriers to testing to medical staff according to protocol. Document according to laboratory policy.
Complete assigned proficiency and competency assessments
Maintain sufficient testing supplies in work area, including ordering if directed by lead.
Consistently generate and review pending logs
Enters Patient Safety Intelligence (PSI) as required.
Participates in the training of new medical technologists/residents at the direction of seniors and lead technologists.
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a NYSDOH Licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology from a program registered by the NYS Department of Education or Bachelor's Degree in the major of biology, chemistry or physical sciences from an accredited college or university or education requirement grandfathered by the NYSOP.
One year experience in a clinical laboratory (completion of an internship at a qualified institution is acceptable).
NYS License.
1 year (completion of an internship at a qualified institution is acceptable) Effective Interpersonal and Communication skills.

The Position
The Laboratory QA/QC Specialist is a member of the Water Quality Team, based out of the Westchester office. This position will assist with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) tasks, help maintain compliance with New York Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (NY ELAP) accreditation standards and provide organizational support for laboratory operations. While this role may involve some analytical work, the primary focus is on carrying out QA/QC tasks, ensuring data integrity, and supporting day-to-day laboratory functions under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with maintaining laboratory quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) systems to support compliance with NY ELAP accreditation requirements.
Perform data entry checks, review QC results, and flag any potential issues to the Laboratory Manager.
Carry out routine QA checks on calibration records, logbooks, and analytical results.

Responsibilities
+ Conduct routine and non-routine analyses using standard lab equipment to measure pH, moisture, temperature, weight, and microbiological safety.
+ Maintain accurate records of test results and quality documentation in accordance with GMP, SOPs, and HACCP standards.
+ Support cross-functional investigations and continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory processes.
+ Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and microbiological safety standards.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to conduct routine and advanced analytical testing using laboratory instruments.
+ Proficiency in maintaining accurate records of test results.
+ Understanding of microbiological safety and quality assurance processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree required.
+ Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
+ Food science is strongly preferred.
+ Bilingual abilities are advantageous.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

R&D Partners is seeking to hire a Senior Lab Tech in Branchburg, NJ.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Lab Tech:
Perform and oversee production and production support duties for Operations and ensure quality of production by the department.
Performs a variety of duties relating to production operations.
Follows departmental work instructions, SOP s, OSHA safety regulations and cGMPs to perform assigned tasks.
Monitor and oversee lab supply inventory, input production data and other work-output data into appropriate network (e.g. SAP / LIMS) and maintain documentation in accordance with established procedures.
Duties may include handling of hazardous materials in activities described above.
What we are looking for in a Senior Lab Tech:
Associates degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
