Calculates, enters, and/or verifies results of laboratory procedures.
Utilizes the Laboratory Information System.
Provides notification and documentation of critical laboratory values obtained.
Processes patient specimens, including collection, handling, and distribution always cognizant of minimal pediatric specimen volumes (when required).
Participates in the evaluation, development, and implementation of new or updated testing procedures and protocols.
Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a manner that meets the population-specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department.
Appropriately adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age specific and other developmental needs of each patient served.

Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489 (includes U.S. Military laboratory training courses of at least 50 weeks)
OR
Education that has been evaluated by an acceptable credentialing agency and deemed equivalent to a US Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology. xevrcyc
Experience
No experience required for graduates of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by NAACLS, or other organizations approved by HHS. OR
One year of approved clinical laboratory experience, which must include a clinical rotation through the following sections of the laboratory: Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids in the U.S. or with an accredited laboratory within the last 5 years.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Must possess Certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technologist) will be responsible for the processing, analysis, and reporting of diagnostic samples in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines in a contract laboratory setting. This position requires expertise in multiple diagnostic disciplines, including hematology, coagulation, chemistry, microbiology, flow cytometry, parasitology, and urinalysis. SUMMARY
Performs routine laboratory analysis of pressurized petroleum crude oil and natural gas in a PVT (Pressure, Volume, Temperature) laboratory environment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs all aspects of PVT studies such as recombination, PV relations, differential liberations, constant volume depletions, viscosity measurement, and others.
Uses basic hand tools properly and safely to make connections to valves and laboratory equipment and works safely and effectively with pressurized petroleum reservoir fluids.
Cleans and maintains laboratory equipment.
Understand and be able to complete laboratory raw data sheets, perform basic data calculations using calculators and computers, and make accurate entries into the laboratory information management system.
Read and understand all analysis and safety standards in English, including ASTM, UOP, IP and other well-defined analytical standards and procedures used in the laboratory.
Assist senior laboratory personnel in setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment for which the technician has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice. Performs equipment maintenance without assistance, performs equipment calibration and repair.
Assist in or perform basic analytical tests from well-defined standards and procedures as assigned by the Laboratory Manager. Laboratory technicians must be verified to be able to perform all tests in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice.

* Perform chemical analyses on extracted samples and record accurate data
* Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
* Assist in method development and optimization of extraction procedures
* Collaborate with team members and contribute to research projects
* Maintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results
* Troubleshoot technical issues and propose solutions
* Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on ongoing projects
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
* 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably with a focus on extractions
* Proficiency in various extraction techniques and principles
* Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC-MS
* Strong understanding of chemical analysis methods and data interpretation
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data recording and analysis
* Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
* Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and regulations
* Lab safety certification is preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
