    We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform daily evaluations and approvals of finished products, conduct process quality checks, and perform basic microbiological testing. Responsibilities also include equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and calculation of dilutions, as well as conducting ingredient and packaging inspections, inventory control, and maintaining sample archives. Responsibilities + Conduct laboratory tests including solvent extraction, sieving, pH, protein, fiber, fat, ash, microbiological plating, and testing of all raw ingredients and finished packaged products. + Record test results and communicate findings with operating departments and management. + Perform in-process quality checks and collect test samples as needed. + Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform mechanical maintenance. + Ensure a clean and safe work environment through general clean-up of laboratory areas. + Operate independently with little to no supervision. Essential Skills + Experience in a laboratory setting - industry or academic + Basic wet chemistry skills. + Background in food manufacturing. + Scientific mindset with possible chemistry or biology degree. + Proficiency in lab testing, wet chemistry, and pH testing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): * Perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions, this may include routine tests as well as specialized tests * Interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities, ensure the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care * Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards in laboratory testing, you may also calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment * Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results, input data into our laboratory information systems * Ensure all laboratory operations comply with hospital policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation requirements * Perform a wide variety of laboratory procedures requiring independent judgment using both manual and automated methods in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and any other discipline as introduced into the laboratory Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
