The Ambulatory Care Clinical Manager at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California will serve as a clinical leader and subject matter expert in specialty and infusion therapies, overseeing ambulatory care clinical pharmacy activities. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for Cedars-Sinai's ambulatory and specialty pharmacy clinical programs, including the Pharmacotherapy Clinic and infusion therapy services. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining standardized, evidence-based clinical protocols, ensuring pharmacist competency, and promoting excellence in medication management across all ambulatory care sites. The clinical manager collaborates closely with the Specialty Pharmacy to optimize prescribing practices, internalize specialty prescriptions, and prevent external leakage by strengthening coordination between clinic-based pharmacists and pharmacy operations. A key responsibility includes advancing pharmacists billing for ambulatory care and clinic-based services, in accordance with California Assembly Bill 317 (AB-317). Through partnership with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, this role enhances patient access, continuity of care, and overall clinical and financial performance. The clinical manager also supports program development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship to ensure alignment with Cedars-Sinai's mission of delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centered pharmacy services.
QualificationsEducational Requirements:
Graduate Degree - Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy - Minimum.
Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program -- Preferred

CaliforniaPharmacist license - required
Advanced Practice Pharmacist License -- required
Board certification in a relevant area of practice (e.g. Ambulatory Care, Pharmacotherapy, Oncology, or other specialty areas) - required
Experience:
Previous clinical and operational experience in ambulatory care or specialty pharmacy management.
Demonstrated expertise in specialty disease areas such as Oncology, Immunology, or Inflammatory Diseases, with in-depth knowledge of therapeutic options, treatment guidelines and patient management strategies.
Patient Experience: Proven ability to care for patients with complex conditions requiring individualized and multi-disciplinary therapeutic regimens.
Team Skills: Collaborates effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve program goals.

Regulatory: Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of State, Federal and Agency standards to comply with regulations.
Technical: Ability to learn and adapt to the use of software, technology, and automated information systems in daily practice.

Basic Qualifications

The Clinical Formulary Pharmacist will play an important role in providing operational support for evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of Medicare Part D Formulary and Utilization Management, review of new drugs with the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Subcommittee/Committee. This position is accountable for ensuring regulatory compliance with respect to the Medicare Part D formulary submissions to CMS, pharmacy benefits, formulary and transition program implementation with PBM, website content for all business lines, pharmacy ne work and CMS's Part D regulatory audits. The Clinical Formulary Pharmacist stays abreast of pharmacy, PBM, payer industry changes, pipeline, drug trends, best practices, and CMS's rules and regulations, including Inflation Reduction Act. The role requires strong cross functional collaboration and communication skills, and an understanding of Medicate Part D formulary and Utilization Management (UM) processes.
You Will
Ensures regulatory compliance with P&T operations, Formulary & Benefit Administration, Transition Programs, annual Part D bid submission process, pharmacy-related member and other stakeholders' communications and marketing materials, including member formulary drug list, website content, trainings, pharmacy network and CMS's regulatory audits.
Produces, maintains, and implements Part D Formulary, Prior Authorization criteria, Step Therapy criteria, Supplemental files, and clinical rules in accordance with CMS requirements on monthly and annual basis and submits these files to CMS.
Develops and maintains formulary exception criteria.
Evaluates and reviews new drugs/biosimilar with the Pharmacy & Therapeutics

We are seeking a ClinicalPharmacist I. The ClinicalPharmacist I will serve as the medication management expert by providing accurate drug information to providers, nurses, and other clinical staff. The individual will supervise technicians during the shift and assist with training/education for pharmacy staff. It is expected that the ClinicalPharmacist I will collaborate with colleagues and provide excellent customer service to patients and staff. Additional duties may include quality and performance improvement activities or others as determined by Pharmacy Leadership.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Collaborates with providers, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure the medication management process is safe, high quality, and cost-effective for all patients.
Provide oversight of safe and timely medication use system.
Oversee compounding in alignment with USP, Board of Pharmacy, and other regulations.
Ensure medications are received, stored, labelled, transported, and wasted appropriately.
Ensure controlled substance processes are adhered to.
Collaborate with members of multidisciplinary health care team to optimize patient's medication therapy.
Participates in care coordination and Investigational Drug management for research patients, following all required regulations and practices.
Actively supports reporting of Pharmacy Interventions, Adverse Drug Reactions, and Medication Errors.
Participate in pharmacy staff development, including new employee orientation, students, residents and training.
Qualifications Your qualifications should include:
Graduate of ACPE-accredited Pharmacy School or School with ACPE accreditation pending
Current CAPharmacist License
BLS certification
