* Ensure that appropriate medications are available for patients and properly procured, prepared, stored, and maintained. Supervise the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing process of drugs and supplies, including technical personnel performing these functions. Maintain relationships with medical and nursing staff; provide timely information pertaining to pharmaceutical supplies, drug usage and compatibility, state and federal regulations regarding drug controls, and Joint Commission standards.
* Provide for collaborative practice management as per facility-approved protocols for anticoagulation, parenteral nutrition, vancomycin, and aminoglycoside consults, etc.
* Assist with medication reconciliation and clarification of unsafe and unclear drug therapy orders. Provide education to patients on the use of medications as needed.
* Participate in the education and training of healthcare professionals (e.g. physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and students) in relation to medication use.
* Demonstrate regulatory compliance as evidenced by timely completion of nursing unit inspections, as needed. Maintain professional competence with pharmacy department and state licensing requirements via staff development, independent study, and/or professional activities.

Nuvem's Pharmacy Management Team is looking for a compassionate, patient centric pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations by covering or providing overlap for the current pharmacy manager. Our goal is to make you feel empowered in the role that you play when managing the pharmacy and personnel in conjunction with the pharmacy manager. This position is for a per-diem pharmacist for the pharmacy located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Junction, TX. The hours are Monday-Friday 9-6 and closed from 12-1 for lunch (hours may change as needed).
As a per-diem pharmacist for our pharmacies located within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you will receive the benefit of a retail pharmacy type setting with a Monday thru Friday potential schedule. As the per-diem pharmacist, you will be responsible in managing our pharmacy relationship with our health center client. This includes engaging with clinic providers and their clinical staff, providing drug related education, and acting as a member of the patient care team.
Primary Role: Our patients' health, compliance, and satisfaction are the most important factors to us. As the per-diem pharmacist, you are responsible for demonstrating the highest standard of patient quality care - from advising on prescriptions to helping treat chronic and specialty conditions. Job Description
The Regional Pharmacist plays a vital role in maintaining uninterrupted pharmacy services across a multi-state network of long-term care and behavioral health pharmacies. This position provides on-site pharmacist coverage during both scheduled and unscheduled absences (e.g., PTO, sick leave, leaves of absence) to ensure continuity of operations, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
When not actively staffing a pharmacy, the Regional Pharmacist works under the direction of the Regional Director of Pharmacy to support operational initiatives, staff development, training, and process improvement projects that enhance performance and service quality across sites.

Oversight of safe and accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and documentation processes.

Supervision of pharmacy technician workflows to ensure adherence to operational procedures and regulatory standards.
Monitoring controlled substance documentation and performing regular checks to ensure compliance with DEA and state Board of Pharmacy requirements.
Support to Director & Regional Operations (60%)
• When not actively staffing a pharmacy, the Regional Pharmacist will:
Assist in the onboarding and training of new pharmacists and technicians, helping to standardize competencies and support a consistent standard of care across sites.
Participate in workflow analysis and improvement initiatives, including policy implementation, system optimization, and pharmacy efficiency efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Licensure
Graduation from a School of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) or certified by the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC); Baccalaureate or PharmD degree required.
Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in at least one applicable state; must be willing and able to obtain additional licensure in other applicable states within six (6) months of employment.
Immunization certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) training preferred.
Experience

PHARMACIST IN CHARGE:
The following job description identifies the qualifications and standards for the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC). The PIC will meet the following requirements and competencies listed below. The PIC reports directly to the Director of Outpatient Pharmacy.
Job Summary: The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Pharmacy Department. The PIC shall manage various operations within the pharmacy including, but not limited to:
❖ Supervises personnel and participates in all aspects of pharmacy workflow including data entry, prescription fulfillment, final verification, and dispensing.
❖ Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients.
❖ Directs and controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals and related substances and supplies.
❖ Participates in the department's planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education, and human resource activities.
❖ Maintains appropriate records for all medications and other pharmaceutical supplies ordered by physicians or other qualified prescribers.
The PIC will have strong communication skills and be able to perform detailed work. Work is accomplished in accordance with the policies and regulations of local, state, and federal authorities as well as accepted standards of practice.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Distributive Activities:
❖ Prepares, labels, and dispenses medications for all age groups according to accepted standards of practice.
❖ Performs computer order-entry functions in an accurate and timely manner.
❖ Assists in maintaining an acceptable inventory of medications and supplies under proper
conditions of storage and security.
❖ Supervises and verifies appropriate and accurate drug distribution tasks performed by support and technical staff.
❖ Effectively uses all necessary forms of informatics.
❖ Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Direct Patient Care Activities:
❖ Performs all aspects of pharmacy operations in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
❖ Interprets medication orders, monitors drug regimens, and performs interventions when order clarification is necessary or when therapeutic problems are identified.
❖ Meets and maintains competencies to perform the required duties of the position.
❖ Assists with adherence packaging and education of use.
❖ Promotes the use of cost-effective drug therapy.
❖ Documents activities per departmental policies.
❖ Provide general drug information services when necessary.
Educational Activities:
❖ Assists in the training and orientation of new employees.
❖ Demonstrates the ability to counsel patients, families, and/or caregivers. ❖ Attends staff meetings.
Administrative Activities:
❖ Monitors activities of the department and takes appropriate action as necessary to ensure efficient and effective operation.
❖ Assists with staffing problems as needed and can suggest ways to efficiently distribute workflow.
❖ Supervises support personnel in a consistent and fair manner.
❖ Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and effectively organize workload and problem
solve.
Professional Responsibilities:
❖ Completes annual continuing education requirements.
❖ Obtains and maintains Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Certification, as
necessary.
❖ Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
❖ Actively participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
❖ Follows accepted standards of practice and adheres to federal, state, and local regulations as well as the policies and procedures of the organization.
Regulatory Requirements:
❖ Graduation from a School of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education; Baccalaureate or PharmD degree required.
❖ Current and valid registration and licensure by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist.
❖ Abide by and uphold the privacy rule standards of HIPAA.
Preferred Qualifications:
