The Licensed ClinicalSocialWorker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) is responsible for providing assistance, coordination and/or completion of all patients' necessary paperwork as it relates to assessments and treatments, individual, group and family therapy, psychiatric care, referrals, primary care and school-based services. This position also gives due consideration to high-risk abuse issues, neglect, domestic violence and/or exposure to community violence.
REQUIREMENTS:
LCSW or LPC is required to be a graduate of an approved and accredited school with a Master's Degree in Social Work.
Must possess an LCSW or LPC license. LPC must have extensive clinical experience.
The LCSW or LPC must possess a high level of ethics in managing patient confidentiality and advocacy with three to five years of post-master's experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults.
Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently as well as schedule and produce work in a timely manner.
Experience and ability to effectively utilize personal computers, various hardware and software packages.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge and understanding of Employee Handbook.
Consults with Psychiatrist, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Executive Officer or designee before decisions are made on questions of interpretation.
Provide knowledge and supporting documentation to supervisor for the development, implementing, and evaluating center's annual health care plan.
Provide tracking and maintenance of an effective system of referral lists for obtaining referrals, additional support services, prior authorizations and other necessary information.
Prepare and present monthly reports to supervisor outlining the Center's productivity and performance improvement adherence.
Provide an effective communication link between patients and providers.
Performs studies, analysis and documentation to determine impact for patient care:
Initial assessments, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment follow-up, and education relevant to the client care
Change in treatment or symptoms
Interventions and strategies in response to changes
Accuracy and appropriate documentations
Policy change positives or negatives.
Departmental efficiencies
Other areas, as requested by the Psychiatrist to assist in decision-making.
Acts as an advocate for the safety delivery of care and well-being of the client.

JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a professional counseling position that involves the treatment of individuals with substance use disorders and other co-occurring conditions. Treatment involves facilitation of individual, group, and family counseling sessions, assessments, treatment planning, care coordination, case management services, discharge planning, and documentation. The clinician must possess expertise in counseling principles and techniques. Services are provided in accordance with recognized counseling principles and techniques and within the established policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization. The Clinician will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director and/or Clinical Supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct group, individual, and family counseling sessions with clients, administer appropriate clinical assessments/ evaluations as needed, provide care coordination and case management as appropriate, develop treatment plans and discharge plans with the clinical team.
Complete intake documentation up client admission.
Document, review, and maintain detailed case records on all clients.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a minimum of a master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field with at least two years of supervised work under a licensed mental health professional or possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field with at least four years supervised work under a licensed mental health professional.
Possess current board certification/licensing for counseling or social work in the State of Louisiana.
