University of Iowa Health Care Department of Psychiatry is seeking qualified, post-MSW applicants to join our amazing team of Clinical Social Workers in a fellowship program. The Clinical Therapy Fellowship is a specialized opportunity for individuals who have obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) and who are seeking additional training as a therapist. The successful candidates will be hired and assigned to the Department of Psychiatry as Social Worker IIIs and will work closely in fellowship with a board-approved clinical supervisor to accrue hours toward independent licensure. The Fellows will divide their work hours, providing therapy within a wide variety of treatment needs as well as participate in a host of training lectures, groups, and projects catered toward professional interests. The Clinical Therapy Fellow will gain exceptional interdisciplinary connections, professional growth, confidence, and professional direction available to them through this large academic setting. Our program includes a first and second-year training protocol. At the time of acceptance, fellows will be provided a one-year employment contract. The successful fellow would be eligible to progress to the second year and provided another one-year contract, if they meet satisfactory performance.
