The Head Women's Soccer Coach is responsible for providing the leadership and coaching expertise necessary to lead the Parkland College women's soccer team and ensure the academic progress of student-athletes.
The Head Women's Soccer Coach is a part-time, 12 month, stipend appointment on a schedule established by the Athletic Director. Internal and external events may occasionally necessitate an altered work schedule. The Head Women's Soccer Coach must be able to work independently and accurately prioritize tasks.

Essential Job Functions:
* Recruit student-athletes according to National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), Midwest Athletic Conference (MWAC), and Parkland College Athletics Department guidelines.
* Manage team budget and participate in fundraising efforts for the department.
* Plan and schedule league and non-league contests, transportation, and trainings and practice sessions.
* Compile, maintain, and report all game scores and statistics as required by the NJCAA and MWAC.
* Plan and contribute to the team's technical training sessions; teach proper technique and training methods.
* Serve as a positive role model creating an environment for the team that promotes good sportsmanship, open communication, team discipline, and respect.
* Show athletes how to use fitness center equipment one-on-one or while in a group and instruct on the proper use of modern physical fitness equipment.
* When needed, drive teams to away contests.
* Monitor team member's academic status, assist with placement of players to four-year colleges, and ensure adherence to NJCAA rules and regulations.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
* Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and past experience coaching and/or teaching soccer.
* Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
* Prospective new hires will successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting. The background check review includes, but is not limited to, exclusionary offenses per the Illinois School Code and Title IV of the Higher Education Act.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals of varied backgrounds.

Other leadership experience will be considered. Instruct UIS women's flag football assistant coaching staff and women's flag football student-athletes on applicable NCAA compliance education. -Responsible for scheduling, organizing, and conducting practices and competitions, including team travel. -Identify, manage, mentor, and over ethical and talented UIS women's flag football assistant coaching staff. -Collaborate with athletic training staff, academic support personnel, strength and conditioning, compliance staff, and other campus personnel to enhance and support UIS women's flag football student-athletes. -Responsible for fundraising, marketing, promotion, and alumni and community engagement of UIS women's flag football and Department of Athletics at UIS. -Coordinate flag football campus/clinics to increase local and regional exposure of UIS and UIS flag football. -Attend GLVC, UIS, and Department of Athletics meetings as scheduled; hold office hours on campus in The Recreation and Athletic Center, and complete required NCAA and UIS training. -Perform other related duties as assigned to support the department's strategic goals and on-going initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Demonstrated coaching experience and proven ability to recruit, develop, and mentor student-athletes.

Preferences will be given to candidates with advanced degrees, demonstrated experience coaching flag football, an understanding of NCAA Division II regulations, a tenure of successful collegiate coaching with a proven record of recruiting talented and academically qualified student-athletes.

Duties & Responsibilities
* Train, coach, mentor and professionally develop child welfare agency staff and leadership through individual coaching, group learning, and formal training on leadership and supervisory skills, and promote collaborative partnering with external child welfare community service providers, court personnel and collateral entities. Partner with child welfare staff, supervisors, managers, agency leadership and key stakeholders as assigned to assess areas of strength and opportunities for growth related to child welfare practice and support the development and implementation of practice enhancement plans. Provide child welfare field support, inclusive of conducting regular and frequent meetings with individuals and small cohorts within but not limited to a field office, agency or client residence. Field support will include coaching supervisors and managers to assess practice strengths and opportunities for improvement among their teams, application of programmatic frameworks and utilization of multiple methodologies aimed at individual and organizational outcome improvement. Complete and maintain progress notes and needs assessments; author and submit regular reports, assists with data collection, entry, and analysis.
* Co-facilitate training of trainers for child welfare practice and child welfare leadership related content, which is inclusive of coordination and preparation of the delivery of training and curriculum, train child welfare staff on the delivery of various curriculums, practice activities, facilitation styles, presentation and classroom management skills. Lead and/or participate in workgroups and special projects as assigned which would be inclusive of attending and coordinating various meetings, drafting and disseminating notes/reports and reporting out to staff and management, work in close collaboration with the Field Implementation Support Program Managers in the performance and assignment of these duties to be inclusive of curriculum design/development, content research, revisions and enhancements. Minimum Qualifications

School of Social Work - Workforce Development University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Located Statewide in Illinois As a member of a specialized statewide child welfare training team, work collaboratively with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (IDCFS) and community partners to provide training, coaching, and professional development to child welfare agency staff and supervisors. This will include but not limited to providing both introductory awareness and post-training content reinforcement related to the Illinois Core Practice Model, effective child welfare agency leadership development and other key IDCFS initiatives. Facilitate and at times develop trainings, lead learning groups and provide ongoing field support to enhance the transfer of learning and reinforce application from the training environment to field operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Train, coach, and professionally develop child welfare agency staff and supervisors through individual coaching, group learning, and formal training on leadership, and promote collaborative partnering with external child welfare community service providers, and collateral entities. Provide child welfare field support, inclusive of conducting regular and frequent meetings with individuals and small cohorts within but not limited to a field office, agency or client residence. Field support will include coaching staff and supervisors to assess practice strengths and opportunities for improvement, application of programmatic frameworks and utilization of multiple methodologies aimed at outcome improvement. Coach and/or train direct service child welfare staff with incorporating job competencies into daily practice, support skill development across multiple domains/within various areas, and support and reinforce quality assurance processes with respect to the integration of agency practice models and other key IDCFS initiatives. Complete and maintain progress notes and needs assessments; author and submit regular reports, assists with data collection and entry.
* Co-lead and/or participate in workgroups as assigned which would be inclusive of attending and coordinating various meetings, drafting and disseminating notes/reports and reporting out to staff and management, work in close collaboration with the Field Implementation Support Program Managers in the performance and assignment of these duties to be inclusive of curriculum design/development, content research, revisions and enhancements. Remain current regarding emerging trends, research findings, and best practices in relevant subject matters, incorporating new knowledge into program activities and initiatives. As assigned, participate in and represent the program in various office, division, IDCFS meetings and training conferences.
* Utilize assigned IDCFS/UIUC equipment (laptop, copier/scanner, LCD projectors, presenters, smartboards, phones, and audio/video equipment), software programs, webinar and virtual platforms, various Microsoft Office products, Share Point, Excel, Qualtrics/Survey Monkey and D-Net appropriately and with proficiency as directed and required, utilize various training functions of the IDCFS Learning and Development Center online learning management system. Other related duties to further the mission of the unit as assigned.

Statewide travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with course work in Social Work, Psychology or other recognized professional degree in human services. Professional experience of three (3) or more years in a public-sponsored, agency-based child welfare setting within a state system or its community partner agencies, providing direct child welfare casework services including Intact Family Services, Permanency/Foster Care, Investigations/Child Protection, Integrated Assessment, Child Welfare curriculum-based training facilitation/management, or other comparable human service experience. Two (2) of those years must include responsibility for supervision of child welfare direct service staff and/or management of child welfare services or other comparable human services. Other leadership experience will be considered. Experience with applying learning methodologies, such as coaching, transfer of learning, group facilitation, motivational interviewing, training and curriculum development.
Preferred Qualifications
Eligibility for appropriate state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Working knowledge of effective leadership, organizational change management strategies and implementation science.
* Established training, coaching and transfer of learning methodologies.
* Motivational interviewing, case study and clinical case presentation methodologies.

Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search posting closes. Hybrid work may be considered for this position. The minimum of the salary range for this position is $68,000 - $71,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position

Summary:
Assistant Men's Soccer Coach assists in development, management, implementation, and advancement of competitive intercollegiate men's soccer program within the philosophy, objectives, policies, and guidelines of NCAA Division II, the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), and Department of Athletics at the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS). The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach reports to the Head Men's Soccer Coach.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach and instruct advanced level skills, techniques, and game strategies inherent in the highest level of competitive play; developing UIS men's soccer student-athletes to successful competitive achievements. Assist in recruiting highly successful men's soccer student-athletes who are both physically and academically talented, who represent UIS and Department of Athletics with good character, and who strive to graduate from UIS. Assist in preparation for practices, competitions, and team travel. Assist with fundraising, marketing, promotion, and alumni and community engagement of UIS men's soccer and Department of Athletics at UIS. Collaborate with athletic training staff, academic support personnel, strength and conditioning, compliance staff, and other campus personnel to enhance and support UIS men's soccer student-athlete experience. Accountable for compliance with all NCAA Division II and Great Lakes Valley Conference rules; including submission of all compliance forms, adherence to all compliance policies and procedures, and attendance of mandatory NCAA rules education sessions. Assist in coordinating camps/clinics in an effort to increase local and regional exposure of UIS and UIS soccer. Attend GLVC, UIS, and Department of Athletics meetings as scheduled; hold office hours; complete required NCAA and UIS training. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the department's strategic goals and on-going initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Collegiate soccer coaching and/or collegiate soccer playing experience required.

Master's degree preferred.
