The Opportunity
This is a foundational, net-new role for an early-career AutoCAD Civil 3D Designer who wants to grow alongside a mission-driven development firm. Over time, this role will expand in scope and ownership, with a clear path toward increased responsibility as internal design capabilities mature.

What You'll Do
Design & Documentation
Develop community master plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting residential layouts, circulation, open space, and amenity planning
Produce 3D renderings and visualizations that bring neighborhood concepts and lifestyle experiences to life
Support construction documentation, including site plans, grading concepts, and utility layouts for internal review and external coordination
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with outsourced civil engineering partners to:
Prepare and iterate concepts prior to formal handoff
Review, redline, and QA third-party drawings
Incorporate feedback and maintain drawing consistency
Collaborate with internal development, planning, and leadership teams to align design intent with business goals
Growth & Ownership
Gradually assume increased responsibility for internal drawings and design coordination
Help establish internal standards, workflows, and best practices for in-house civil design support
Grow into a more senior design role as the company continues to scale its platform
What You Bring
Required
1-3+ years of professional experience in civil or site design
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Exposure to residential land development and/or master-planned communities
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design iterations
Comfort working in a fast-moving, collaborative, growth-oriented environment
Preferred
Experience with SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, Twinmotion, or Rhino
Familiarity with single-family or townhome developments

Support new product development from concept through prototyping and production
Prepare drawings for manufacturing, including BOMs, tolerances, and specifications
Revise and update designs based on testing, feedback, and production requirements
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and suppliers to ensure designs are cost-effective and manufacturable
Maintain organized CAD files and documentation
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory)
Proven experience designing mechanical assemblies with moving parts
Hands-on experience designing sheet metal components
Ability to create clear, accurate manufacturing drawings
Understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances, and fabrication processes
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in consumer products, sports equipment, or mechanical product development
Familiarity with prototyping, testing, and design for manufacturability (DFM)
Experience working in a fast-paced, product-driven environment
Knowledge of machining, welding, or injection molding is a plus

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create Prefabrication Solutions for Construction Projects
Coordinate with Prefabrication Manager on Inputs required for Prefabrication Execution
Provide input on Prefabrication Process
Create Documentation that will inform Prefabrication Team what to build utilizing AutoCAD/Revit/Excel/Bluebeam
Edit and track Prefabrication schedules.
Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials
Performs other duties as assigned by management
Demonstrates problem-solving ability and can work under rigorous schedules
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Core Accountabilities:
10% Communication, Meetings
30% working on prefabrication shop floor with team
50% creating collateral for prefabrication team to build
10% coordinating with Project Teams
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in an industrial environment
Ability to maneuver 25+ lbs on a regular basis
Ability to withstand extended exposure to a computer monitor, which may at times be straining on the eyes

Travel Demands:
Travel is primarily local during the business day. Ability to qualify for DOT Certification preferred.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in commercial electrical work with a focus on conduit fabrication and installation required.
Ability to read & interpret Construction Drawings & Documentation.
Understanding Construction Project Flows & Sequences..
Experience running crews of electricians preferred.
Experience working with prefabrication preferred.
Membership in the IBEW will be required as a condition for employment (if not currently a member).
Ability to Draw, dimension & communicate ideas.
Ability to research and comprehend materials, tools & equipment.
Experience with Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud Preferred.
Basic AutoCAD and/or Revit Preferred.
Bluebeam Preferred.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, and file-sharing platforms.
