As a CAD Designer for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC), you'll work with project managers to produce civil site, water resources, stream restoration, and solid waste construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D to include site plans, grading & drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, storm and sewer profiles. Responsibilities Review and interpret 2D drawings with guidance from engineering staff. Create and update 3D models of parts and simple assemblies using SolidWorks. Assist in preparing and revisiting detailed drawings. Help design basic check fixtures for inspection and quality purposes. Work closely with engineers and manufacturing personnel to support design updates. Maintain organized CAD files and documentation. Essential Skills Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. 1+ years of experience creating fabrication and assembly drawings within a fabrication environment. Ability to read and understand basic 2D AutoCAD engineering drawings. Experience with sheet metal design. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Work Environment This role is based in the office, working five days a week on the first shift with flexible start and end times. After completing training, there may be an opportunity to transition into a hybrid role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
