Responsibilities • Develop electrical design deliverables including 3D models, 2D drawings, schematics, layouts, and installation details • Extract 3D model data into annotated, construction-ready drawings • Create equipment arrangements, raceway layouts (conduit, cable tray, duct bank), grounding systems, and lighting designs • Prepare bills of materials, material take-offs, and installation documents • Model electrical rooms, equipment, raceways, and lighting systems in SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, AutoCAD, or related tools • Perform model reviews, resolve clashes, and coordinate spatial requirements • Support 3D modeling of mechanical, piping, and HVAC elements in integrated environments • Ensure compliance with NEC (NFPA 70), NEMA, ANSI, and IEEE standards • Support constructability reviews and integrate client specifications • Collaborate with engineers, designers, contractors, and cross-discipline teams • Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings • Senior-level: mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance • Senior-level: lead electrical design packages, material specifications, and procurement documents • Senior-level: perform lighting calculations (AGI 32), grounding layouts (ETAP), and cable management support (SETROUTE) • Senior-level: manage complex design interfaces and ensure compliance with internal and industry standards Qualifications • U.S. Citizenship required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance • Must pass background check and drug screening (including marijuana) • Must hold a Real ID-compliant driver's license or state ID • Proficiency with 3D modeling or CADD software (AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D, SmartSketch, Revit, etc.) • Experience producing electrical design drawings for industrial, nuclear, mission-critical, or large commercial facilities • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience supporting grounding systems, lightning protection, raceway design, electrical equipment layouts, cable routing, and lighting/power layouts • Associate degree or drafting certification • Junior-level: 1-3+ years of electrical design experience • Senior-level: 10+ years of electrical design experience with advanced SP3D/SmartSketch/AutoCAD expertise Pay $85,000-$145,000 per year Schedule Full-time onsite | 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off) Compensation & Benefits • Paid overtime • 9x80 work schedule (every other Friday off) • Excellent work-life balance • Relocation allowance for non-local candidates Questions?
