Job DescriptionDescription: The Dental CAD Designer is responsible for designing high-quality restorations that meet company standards, doctor prescriptions (Rx), and patient-specific requirements. This role supports daily production goals by designing cases in dental CAD software and collaborating with Production and Quality teams to ensure restorations are accurate, consistent, and on time. Requirements: Essential Functions Read, interpret, and execute Doctor Rx and preferences to design restorations using 3Shape and/or Exocad. Design restorations while accounting for adjacent and opposing dentition, margins, contacts, occlusion, anatomy, and emergence profiles. Design across common case types, including: Full contour single units Copings Inlays and onlays Bridges (3-unit, 3-5 unit, and 6+ unit cases, including coping bridges) Implant restorations (single implants and implant bridges) Dentures Partial frameworks Full-arch restorations (required) Ensure contacts and occlusion reflect doctor preferences, prescription instructions, and internal design guidelines. Organize, prioritize, and manage workload to meet daily production deadlines. Support digital workflows as needed. Assist with downstream workflow tasks as needed (based on training matrix and department needs), such as: Nesting and CAM coordination (ex: Millbox workflows) Green state support and preparation steps QC compliance and documentation Maintain quality standards and participate in continuous improvement of design consistency and production outcomes. Job Description The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for developing mechanical systems for innovative high speed material handling equipment with ongoing troubleshooting, improvement to production processes, development and integration of new technologies, while supporting electrical engineering, software, and maintenance teams. Design mechanical systems, equipment, and fixtures Integrate new technologies into equipment and processes Analyze product flow and perform continuous improvement activities for quality and throughput Troubleshoot mechanical systems and basic electrical troubleshooting Work with electrical and software teams to integrate with the mechanical systems Develop, document, and follow production processes Support maintenance and operations with repairs and redesigns to meet production goals Other duties as assigned Physical Demands and Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to work around loud machinery requiring hearing protection, hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and occasional dust mask Regularly required to stand, climb, bend, stoop, walk, kneel, and crouch around and on production machinery Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent 5+ years' experience as a mechanical design engineer or similar role Proficiency with SolidWorks and CAD software Fundamental understanding of material strengths, dynamics, and manufacturing processes Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as wrenches, drills, saws, etc

Predominant Tasks * Under the direction of an Engineer or Designer, prepare design layouts, models, and other engineering specifications to satisfy well defined requirements. * Assist Engineer or Designer to set-up and perform engineering tests as directed to satisfy well-defined requirements. * Under direction of an Engineer or Designer, become familiar with basic engineering calculations that are relevant to design modifications and new developments. * Become familiar with opportunities for one's own learning and development for the mutual benefit of oneself and the organization. * Work as part of a team supporting projects for orders or development projects. * Under the direction of an Engineer, become familiar with global regulations and safety compliance requirements for designs originating from oneself. * Provide information as directed for creation of Technical Reports and Service Bulletins * Make field trips to manufacturing facilities to observe machines during the build process. Learn to provide technical assistance to manufacturing with respect to specification originating from self. Qualifications/Requirements * Certification in Technology or equivalent relevant discipline, required. * Experience in machine design, machine application, mining industry, not required. * Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) tools, desired. * Participation in implementing Lean Engineering principles, desired. * Participation in effective Change Management implementation, desired. * Experience in focused team assignment(s), desired. * Subscription to CAD related technical publications, beneficial.
