Purpose:
Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Drafter I/II in Virginia Beach, VA.
This position is to provide drafting and assist with design drawing support for modernization and upgrade initiatives for Navy Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS).
Job Description:
The team member shall be familiar with ASME drawing standards.
The team member shall utilize government provided redline drawings to update technical data packages (TDPs) and drawings for final release.
The team member shall update and maintain drawing tracking databases.
The team member shall update current 3D models in Inventor to capture changes.
The team member shall update current 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
The team member will have to support onsite drawing activities at Dam Neck Annex Base.
Qualifications:
Must have 2 years CAD drafting experience in professional engineering environment with HS Diploma.
Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).
Must have experience with updating and creating 3D Models with Inventor.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification from an accredited Technical School in the Drafting/Design field, preferred.
Experience with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), preferred.
Experience with quality control checks on various TDPs.
Experience with working on Dam Neck Annex Base, preferred.
