What You'll Do

Review forecasts and budgets prepared by management teams to make sure owners, GMs, and Home Office are provided with guidelines of performance that are both reasonable and achievable.
Ensure all legal, treasury, and tax documentation is properly maintained and secured, and that all statutory and fiscal reporting requirements are satisfied, which includes any governmental requirements for permits and licenses.
Ensure adequate controls are installed and maintained for the protection of the property's assets against loss or misappropriation.
Coach department heads regarding their financial responsibilities and effective financial management techniques.
Continuously monitor economic, social, and governmental trends and policies to ensure that management is kept fully apprised of any implications that may affect the performance of the hotel or restaurant in meeting its financial objectives.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Studies is required, Master's degree and/or CPA is a plus.
2 to 3 years of Director level experience in hospitality finance is preferred.
Well organized, detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.

Develop customer profiles and maintains an effective trace system including trace dates and references resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.
Develops strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
Follow up on all client needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.
Focuses on revenue-generating activity and maximizes selling time through retaining accounts/clients, maximizing account yield opportunities and sales effectiveness.
Detail, up-sell and detail the program with the client including; verification and modification of space requirements, audio-visual, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations, etc. Prepare the appropriate resumes and paperwork to ensure quality service.
Manage function details and related activities to ensure that program requirements are satisfied. Anticipate and handle customer complaints and/or problems to ensure quality product delivery, customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Oversees all billing details for hotel groups to include processing of deposits, direct bill applications, credit card authorizations and coordination with accounting.

**What You'll Do**
Maintain a clean dining area by bussing tables in an efficient, courteous and accurate manner all the while providing outstanding service to our guests along the way. Act as an advocate for the restaurant, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences, and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return.
**Some of your responsibilities include:**
+ Clean and set tables to restaurant standards.
+ Deposit dishes appropriately in the dish-room or specified area.
+ Pull dirty plates from tables while guests are still seated.
+ Serve beverages promptly.
+ Stock bussing stations.
+ Clean stations, including sweeping floor using the tools provided.
+ Perform buffet set-up and refill if needed.
+ Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary such as expediting food to tables.
+ We all wear multiple hats here at Kimpton. You may need to take on responsibilities outside of this job description at times, as we all do.
**What You Bring**
+ 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.
+ Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
+ Knowledge or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system, ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
+ Hardworking, dedicated, with a real passion for hospitality.
+ Flexible schedule and are able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Your Focus
Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
Resolve guest complaints and concerns by conducting thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions.
Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
Participate in lobby ambassador and other activities related to interacting with guests on an individual level, thus creating a relationship and culture that will result in repeat stays.
Oversee front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager or Assistant General Manager.
Perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting audits.
Make and confirm reservations.
Promote Hersha Hospitality and brand-specific marketing programs.
Greet guests immediately upon arrival; register and assign guests to hotel rooms.
Provide welcome folders containing room keys, certificates, coupons and refreshment center keys as appropriate.
Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and make change for guests.
Close out guest accounts at time of check out. In the event of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromise, which may include authorizing revenue allowances.
Create specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies.
Ensure hotel entrance, reception and other public areas are properly maintained in regards to cleanliness and appearance.
Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM's EarthView program.
Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
Your Background and Skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
1 to 3 years of related experience.
Work Environment and Context
Work schedule varies and may include working on all shifts, holidays and weekends.
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
