Job Summary
Assists the Project Engineer with being the technical source of information for the project. Responds to questions about drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and change orders and have responsibility for assisting in writing change orders, RFl's, meeting minutes, and reviewing Submittals. Maintains an effective and professional working relationship with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. This position includes three 'steps' (I, II and Senior), which provide for a progression of skill and experience. Step I is the entry level for individuals with a minimum of experience in this position. Step II is used for employees with 2 years of experience in this position, or with experience on larger and more complex projects. The 'Senior' step is used for employees with more than 4 years of experience and/or experience on significantly larger or more complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks and assists with or reviews and processes submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting. Ensures the timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval and ultimate disposition of meeting agendas, RFl's and daily reports.
2. Demonstrates an understanding of the project management plan (PMP) and is involved in support and execution of the plan. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the change management process and performs project scope activities and supports the project team to ensure the work needed to complete the project successfully.
3. Ensures the administration of the project quality management plan and demonstrates and reinforces a culture of safety throughout the project.
4. May assist in the calculation of daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work. Participates in risk management including identification, analysis, response planning and monitoring and control on a project and demonstrates competency in understanding the environmental control processes for the project and takes corrective actions when necessary.
5. May be responsible for overseeing/managing the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordination between Subcontractors and Designers.
6. May be responsible for the documentation and submittal for the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Certification of a building and for creating and updating Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
7. May provide lines, grades and layout as required for the project while maintaining an organized log book.
8. May provide the following weekly quantities: maintains accurate quantity logs and reports quantities in compliance with the cost control manual. Completed logs are to be filed with the project files. Perform elements of the processes involved in budgeting and controlling costs so that the project can be completed within the approved budget. Demonstrates business acumen within area of responsibility. (Not all Field Engineers track quantities)
9. Provides support to superintendents required for the execution of the work and assists in the resolution of field problems as necessary.

**Job Description**
Olsson is seeking an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer for our Data Center Facilities Engineering Design team to help support the design development of the instrumentation and control systems associated with electrical distribution systems. The Electrical Instrumentation Engineer will provide technical leadership and expertise with respect to system modernization and maintenance, will create plans, schematics, and one-lines, and will lead and support small and large instrumentation and controls projects with a focus on reliability and technical execution.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Support instrumentation-related threat mitigation action plans and incident management investigations and actions
+ Ensure the smooth real-time operation of the instrumentation system by performing and analyzing technical studies and data, developing strategies and alternatives, and establishing and documenting operating procedures
+ Works within a multi-discipline team to develop efficient and reliable electrical design packages for low and medium voltage electrical infrastructure
+ Lead the Instrumentation and Control design for projects and define control scheme in alignment with industry and client standards to satisfy power system reliability requirements
+ Review data sheets, control block diagrams, and functional/ operational descriptions for all instrumentation related projects
+ Provide technical leadership and serves as a subject matter expert, delivering professional and technical guidance on programs, projects and initiatives.

**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation and Control Engineering
+ **7+ years' experience** in instrumentation and control systems **within the industrial electrical and/or hyperscale data center sector**
+ Expertise in the design, application, and implementation of distribution and generation instrumentation and control systems for building level infrastructures
+ Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the industry standards that governs the selection, testing and performance of instrumentation sensors and control schemes
+ Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of global standards such as ISA, IEC, IEEE and other related to instrumentation and control systems
+ **Experience working with DCS, SIS and PLC** s and developing, reading and understanding P&IDs and control schematics

SUMMARY Maintain water pump stations; system lift stations, water plant and sewer plants, and work on a variety of different controls requiring varied experience. This hands-on role requires physical stamina and may involve using specialized tools, fabricating parts, and keeping detailed records. Requires a valid Arkansas drivers' license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Be able to read and use a variety of electrical meters and other instruments used in trouble shooting panels and electric motors.
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Responsible for the safe efficient operation and maintenance of POA vehicles and tools.
Maintains and operates pump houses, lift stations, water and wastewater plants, altitude valves, chemical feed systems, SCADA, VFD's, 4-20 signals and alarming systems.
Work in varied weather conditions, from ladders and in confined spaces.
Reports problems to Supervisor in a timely manner.
Ability to communicate and work with the public and staff in a polite manner.
Assists staff and other departments as directed.
Basic ability to locate streets, addresses, and water and sewer lines on maps.
Responsible for responding to customer requests and complaints and completing work orders accurately and efficiently.
Responsible for operating in accordance with Local, State, Federal Regulations, and Public Utilities Policies and Procedures.
May be required to work periodically for other divisions as directed.
Follow all Property Owners' Association (POA) policies and safety rules.
Regular attendance is required and required to be on time to work.
