Engineers will work with our instrumentation technicians (UAW) employees to meet customer needs in a fast paced, multi-faceted, unionized, testing environment. The selected candidate will coordinate all PLCs, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and software integration activities across the various test facilities and our calibration lab at the proving grounds. Engineers will coach and mentor other team members in utilizing World Class Engineering techniques for problem solving and corrective action implementation. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: Possess a general level of technical understanding related to basic electrical fundamentals: wire harnesses, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, calibration, HMI, data acquisition, etc. Direct supervision of and working with unionized technicians in all maintenance activities Will posses or be willing to learn ISO documentation, automotive regulatory needs etc. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics Engineering 1-3 years of experience working with maintenance teams in a union environment 1-3 years of experience with controls/robotics/drives/PLCs, HMI/VFD/Circuit design/sensors use/calibration and application. Diagnose and resolve issues across controls, networking, software, and system integration during facility commissioning and launch.
