    Specific Responsibilities The Automation Technician Sr is a technical position under the direction and training of the automation foreman and is responsible for system integration, operation, and maintenance of all areas of automation systems and performs other related duties. The Automation Technician Sr uses extensive knowledge of DC Electronics with a basic knowledge of AC electrical systems associated with oil and gas production facilities. They also provide training and support to other technicians or operators. * Monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems and controls. * Coordinate with contractors for the maintenance of VRU's, combustors and flare systems. * Troubleshoot and maintain existing emissions control systems, while also overseeing the installation and implementation of new emissions control systems. * Maintains good working relationships with various groups including production, water groups, and facilities engineering. * Oversee routine maintenance and troubleshooting on control systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations. * Oversee installation and configuration of control systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), remote terminal unit (RTU), and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). * Assist in the testing and commissioning of new control systems.     Automation Technician Lone Star Corporation is searching for a full time Automation Technician. The technician will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of various automation installs in the Oil and Gas Industry. This position will primarily execute field installs of various automation instruments/transmitters as well as download, troubleshoot, and modify RTU and PLC configurations to fit the current need. Duties & Responsibilities * Plan and conduct independent work to coordinate field labor with Automation and SCADA Engineers. * Understanding of P&IDs, electrical processes, and cause & effect matrix. * Implement and maintain remote communications equipment (900Mhz 5.8Ghz Radios, cell modems). * Regular monitoring of SCADA systems or other control systems to determine potential problems with field instruments or hardware * Calibration and verification of field instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Assist Automation and SCADA engineers in troubleshooting of systems from the field. * Provide on-call support to various clients' automation and SCADA systems.
