Position Summary
We are seeking a ControlsTechnician to support, maintain, and improve our plant's automation and electrical systems. This role provides hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and control system improvements for production and utility equipment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial automation, mechatronics, and thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, troubleshoot, and support variety of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, instrumentation, and industrial network devices.
Perform preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis on production equipment, automation systems, robotic cells, building automation systems (BAS), and plant utility equipment.
Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of production equipment.
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and safety.
Support and maintain plant SCADA, recipe control, and data collection systems.
Create control narratives and machine procedures, maintain accurate schematics and other technical documentation, and keep records of work performed.
Qualifications
Associate degree or certification in Electrical/Controlsor related technical field. Combination of education and/or related experience considered in lieu of degree.
Experience working with Allen-Bradley hardware and software. IDEs such as Logix Designer Suite and FactoryTalk View preferred. Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 languages in other environments also acceptable.
2+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, ControlsTechnician, or similar role.
Strong Troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
A team-oriented mindset; willingness and ability to take on other functional responsibilities as needed.

This opportunity is Monday - Friday and has two shifts:
-7:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
-6:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/or move up to 80 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Exposure to a production environment which includes noise, moving machinery, mechanical parts, and forklifts.
