⚙️ What You'll Do
Program, configure, and optimize Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Perform startup, checkout, and commissioning for new projects.
Troubleshoot control issues and resolve HVAC system integration challenges.
Conduct point-to-point verification and ensure systems meet design specifications.
Assist with field service calls during project and warranty phases.
Guide and support electrical subcontractors on project sites.
Deliver materials, monitor installations, and maintain communication with the project team.
Update and correct manual drawings for engineering and documentation accuracy.
Participate in the on-call rotation and assist with support agreements.
Collaborate with management to develop a personalized professional growth plan.

The Shift Technician C&I will be assigned to operating shifts and work the same rotating shift schedule as Operations Department employees, which is currently a 12-hour shift rotation. The rate of pay for Shift Technicians ranges from $42.25 per hour to $53.01 per hour depending on experience. This role is also eligible for medical/dental/vision benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
The Shift Technician is a multi-disciplinary classification, able to perform operations duties and maintenance duties including but not limited to electrical, control and instrument, mechanical, welding and use of machine tools. Shift Technicians must be capable of and are expected to plan, schedule, and perform all aspects of their job while working independently. Shift Technicians are required to display evidence of personal motivation and initiative toward attaining applicable knowledge and understanding of instrumentation and controls systems and applications. Shift Technicians display a positive attitude, exemplifying core values, safe work practices, job ownership and the willingness to learn and apply the use of HPI Tools.
Shift Technicians are also expected to maintain the qualifications of the position and continue to develop new skills required by the position.
Shift Technicians are members of IBEW Local 51. All Shift Technicians must complete an on-site training program with in two years of their start date. The work schedule is currently a rotating 12-hour shift.

What you will do
Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. What You'll Bring
1+ year(s) of related industrial automation fabrication experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of systems.
This position requires the ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
This position supports the entire engineering team and reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and networks is a plus but not a requirement.
A Degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience.
Travel Requirements

Debug and trouble shoot machine-operating software.

Determine honing parameters including speeds, feeds pressures, stroke lengths, stroke rates.
Hone test parts with prototype equipment to hold very close tolerances per requested engineer specifications.

Collect an extensive amount of data that could be pertinent to the success or failure of a tool or a machine.
Calculate honing ratio, volumetric stonewear, volumetric stock removal and stock removal rate.

Troubleshoot any unusual circumstances and report to proper engineer.
Disassemble, clean, repair and reassemble machines, oil carts, tools, etc.
Communicate with supervisors, engineers and fellow employees.
Train personnel on existing and prototype equipment.
Determine if customer complaints are valid with specific tools and machines; demonstrate tools or machinery to customers, fellow employees, board members and family members.

Work Schedule:
Weeks 1-2: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
