LONG TERM MAINTENANCE PROJECT - NO PER DIEM Inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems utilized by production and manufacturing equipment to ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality. RESPONSIBILITIES * Inspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations. * Tests accuracy of flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, controllers, radiation counters or detectors, and other recording, indicating or controlling instruments to locate defective components in system, using test equipment, such as pressure gauges, mercury manometers, potentiometers, pulse and signal generators, oscilloscopes, transistor curve tracers, and ammeters, voltmeters, and watt-meters. * Traces out and tests electronic solid state and vacuum tube circuitry and components to locate defective parts in analog and digital, protection, or radiation monitoring systems, using test equipment, schematics, and maintenance manuals. * Removes defective instruments from system, decontaminates, disassembles, and cleans instruments, and replaces defective parts, using hand tools. * Reassembles instruments and replaces instruments in system, using hand tools. * Lubricates instruments and replaces defective wiring and tubing. * Calibrates readings on instruments according to standards and adjusts phasing and aligns stages to ensure accuracy of recording and indicating function. * Records calibrations made, parts and components used, and inventory of parts on hand. * Prepares schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments. * Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Must have good mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations. Must be able to install and bend electrical conduit of the various trade, size (pvc, emt, rigid) and install instrumentation tubing. Technician Duties: · Diagnose and repair complex direct digital control system malfunctions requiring thorough knowledge of mechanical systems and electronic theory, as well as the ability to create & modify program algorithms for multiple systems. · Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. · Candidate must be able to coordinate time and tasks effectively with assistance from the project coordinator. · Maintain detailed service report notes. · Create control algorithms, download source code to controllers, manage system databases, and implement an animated front-end graphical user interface when required. · Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure the complete system functions properly. · Perform service repairs, adjustments and calibration on building systems. · Coordinate and perform customer training and ensure timely completion of project closeout documents. · Provide technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable. Job Purpose Responsible for planning, coordinating, and organizing work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing of products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications in manufacturing facility. Ensure that all customer orders meet requirements, delivery dates as well as quality and cost specifications. Enforce procedures and requirements in accordance with Weatherford policies while ensuring the safety and performance of all employees. Roles & Responsibilities · Under direct supervision, perform mechanical assembly of low complexity in accordance with established procedures. Know and understand Weatherford's Enterprise Excellence Process and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions. · Assemble equipment per engineered drawings or as instructed by others. · Inspect completed components for accuracy and functionality. · Maintain an orderly work area. · Properly maintain company supplied tooling. · Aid in developing of new procedures and improving existing procedures. · Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford. · Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level. · Performs any assembly type functions, using hand or power tools. · May operate both stationary and moving overhead cranes. · Operates any equipment needed to perform job. Experience & Education REQUIRED · 1-2 years prior assembly or manufacturing experience · Mechanical aptitude. · Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams PREFERRED · Soldering Certification - IPC J-STD-001 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities REQUIRED · Good verbal communication skills. · Basic computer skills · Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. #LI-KP1
