FC Cincinnati is seeking an Editorial Content Intern to join the Content Team who is looking for opportunities to grow in the sports media industry. The person in this role will gain experience in professional sports and contribute editorial content to the club website, social channels and all other mediums. The Editorial Content Intern will assist and work with the club's Staff Writer in managing written storytelling around The FC Cincinnati Academy, FC Cincinnati 2 and The First Team while also creating and executing on content that achieves marketing, promotional, and partnerships-based goals.
A successful intern will, by the end of their term, have experience in covering a rigorous MLS season, interacting with and building report with professional athletes and coaches, creating web copy, working on deadline, and creatively telling editorial stories for a ravenous FC Cincinnati fanbase.
What You'll Do:
Pitch and craft editorial content for FC Cincinnati Academy which could include attending MLS NEXT and MLS NEXT Pro matches and training sessions.
Assist the club Beat Writer by attending first team matches to produce content that helps inform supporters and promote the club
Contribute as a copywriter and storyteller for promotional content
Collaborate with the larger Comms and Content team to develop engaging content across all FC Cincinnati channels
What You'll Bring:

High level writing and reporting skills
Experience covering sports from a journalistic or otherwise editorial background
Passion for the game of soccer
Experience interviewing players, coaches and sports staff for the purpose of creating written web content
