Job mission:
As part of our Sidewalk Team you will work hand in hand with other team members assisting in treating and clearing paved surfaces. Working as a team helps ease the work on all members as well as efficiently treating work sites. Heavy equipment and plows are regularly operating during events. Safety on contracted sites is our top priority, not just for our clients but for our staff as well. Orange reflective waterproof jackets are provided to members upon arrival of their shift so they are seen on site throughout the event. As a sidewalk team member experience is not necessary, but general knowledge of snowstorms and cleanup are helpful! Hands on training is provided to all team members at the start of employment and throughout the year.

Position Responsibilities:
Using shovels, push plow or snow blowers to clear snow from paved surfaces (sidewalks, entrances, stairs, mailboxes, fire hydrants, loading docks, etc.)
Utilize equipment in a safe manner
Read and understand snow maps
Spread salt and deicers utilizing spreaders and other approved methods
Utilize push plows and other snow removal equipment safely
Return equipment and safety gear to its designed area when finished
Report any accidents, incidents, and equipment failures to supervisor immediately
May be required to work long shifts (either days or nights) during precipitation events and snowstorms
