ENERGY/WEATHERIZATION DEPARTMENT (Atwater, CA)
Essential Functions
Under direct supervision of the Crew Leader, perform minor home repair, install weatherization measures per existing state guidelines and perform related work as required. This position is entry level to the department and non-exempt. Incumbents must achieve State Certification in Basic Weatherization within three months of hire.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Install attic insulation, batting, and attic ventilation; Ride in or drive an Agency truck to client locations;
Replace broken windows and glass; Perform other repairs/installation as required by blower
Install hot water heater blankets; and duct blaster testing;
Install new doors, thresholds, door shoes, and weather stripping; Maintain client confidentiality and excellent customer service
Install caulking, glazing, duct and pipe wrap; Follow safety policies and instructions;
Provide assistance to the Crew Leader relative to the task at hand; Perform other miscellaneous duties to support department
Install solar paneling and Agency goal
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Paid and/or volunteer work experience in housing construction, framing, plumbing and/or weatherization.
