Responsibilities Hiring for the 2026 Construction Season This position requires heavy physical duties involving a variety of tasks associated with asphalt milling and paving which are generally either semi-skilled or skilled in nature. Duties will vary depending on the type of work assigned to the crew. A laborer can become a specialist within a crew such as Screed Person, Lute person, QC Tech, Side Person (mill), Tack Truck Driver, Water Truck Driver, Utility adjustment person etc. Overnight stays may be required on occasion. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required (equivalent work experience will be considered) Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred (continuing education in construction highly desirable) Minimum 6 years of heavy civil construction experience with at least 2 years of Superintendent experience required Experience in multiple trade disciplines preferred OSHA 30 hour certification required (those not having this credential must certify or be enrolled in a certification course within 6 months of hire/promotion) Valid driver's license required Overview Our Company Does Work That Matters Allan Myers is the largest heavy civil construction and materials production contractor in the mid-Atlantic.
