Responsibilities
IMAGING: Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal
skills and knowledge of all equipment.
Competency in the field of CT.
Positions patient for diagnostic imaging according to department procedures, training, and machine requirements.
Operates imaging equipment, determines and sets exposure factors, sets technique utilizing all relevant factors to ensure accurate and quality images with minimal and acceptable repeat rates.
Uses computer image processing to select and optimize images.
Processes and presents images and related patient information to radiologist for diagnosis.
Assists with patient transport by moving patients using standard procedures.
DOCUMENTATION: Gathers complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
Identifies patient by checking patient's I.D., full name and medical record number according to department procedure.
Reviews patient chart and orders to insure correct examination.
Labels images completely with demographic, position and other needed

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced CT/XR Technologist. For PRN hours, with the availability to work multiple consecutive graveyard shifts.
We are a stable, hospital-based department with digital X-ray, fluoroscopy and a Philips 64 slice CT scanner. Though small, we are a busy department serving the patients from the canyons east of Stayton through the West Salem area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Graveyard coverage consists of primarily ER patients with some IP exams as needed. You must be able to work independently and manage our teleradiology service functions as well as operate PACS and imaging equipment such as our portable XR units and C-arms proficiently as we do perform general surgery exams at our site.
Pay commensurate with experience, with a premium for weekends, nights and PRN pay in lieu of benefits. Relocation assistance available.
