The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures as directed by Southlake providers. The MRI Technologist must have a sound knowledge of human anatomy and MRI safety procedures. Responsibilities Responsible for the care of patients of all ages; greet and thoroughly explain the examination. Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination (i.e. pain, claustrophobia, metallic objects, etc). Prepare patients for MRI procedure by positioning them in such a way that causes the least discomfort, administering contrast (when applicable); instruct patient about how to position their body appropriately.
