What you will do:
Operates computerized tomo?graphy (CT) scanner to obtain filmed images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, in accordance to Radiologist's direc?tions and established procedures. Positions patients for procedure, administers injections of contrast media, operates scanners to visualize pathologies, manipulates images to find best image possible and reproduces screen images on film. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

The successful candidate will lead time-resolved X-ray diffraction experiments to reveal structural and electronic dynamics in condensed matter systems.
The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with scientists at the Materials Science Division and the Advanced Photon Source (APS) as well as collaborate with external partners to exploit state-of-the-art synchrotron and X-ray free-electron laser (XFEL) facilities for exploring transient states with high temporal and spatial resolution.

Stays abreast of and complies with all state and federal laws including HIPPA, OSHA, and FLSA.
Perform and document daily and/or weekley QA/ACR phantom requirements
Position patients to capture appropriate images
Demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
The primary liaison between patients and radiologists and other members of the support team.
Accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions.
Comply with all client facilities policies, procedures and practices.
Ability to follow directions/instructions from his/her supervisor.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate of ARRT approved program.
Minimum of 3 years of MRI orthopedic experience.
One year of Siemens MR Scanners.
X-Ray certification and experience required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Mammography/X-ray Technologist
Location: Onsite Villa Park
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
Document the medical history of the patient prior to any examination
Maintains cleanliness of room, sterilize mammographic equipment and keep adequate stock of supplies on hand
Carefully position patient in order to obtain correct imaging, ensuring patient is comfortable and safe throughout procedure
Explain imaging procedure using tact, courtesy and poise to reduce anxiety to obtain patient cooperation, address any patient questions and concerns
Maintains quality of mammographic equipment by following company standards and procedures, and promotes continuous quality improvement
Follow company procedural protocol and standards maintaining production and quality mammograms
Evaluate and interpret captured images effectively
Accurately document mammogram data into patient's chart
According to department standards and protocols set by radiologist, perform all job related functions as a Mammography Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner, and communicate related information to appropriate physician
Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
Perform all other duties as assigned
Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
AART Radiography certification and current ARRT registration

40 hours advanced training in a MQSA approved program and 25 supervised exams in mammography
Maintain required mammography continuing education as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act
Previous experience desired in a diagnostic radiology/imaging setting
IEMA Licensure
CPR Certification
