TWIN PEAKS - JANITOR / BUSSER
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This job requires the Twin Peaks Janitor, Busser to clean and maintain the Twin Peaks restaurant. Each team member is defined by pride, extreme standards, and discipline when it comes to keeping his/her restaurant clean and sanitized.
THE UNIFORM
* Clean TP black hat facing forward at all times. Brim never bent.
* Hair must be kept clean. All hair must be kept underneath the TP hat.
* Clean shaven. Beards & mustaches are allowed, but must be maintained.
* Fingernails must be kept trimmed.
* Jewelry is not allowed to be worn in ears, face, around the neck or wrists.
* Head phones or ear buds are not to be worn.
* Clean non-faded/wrinkled TP kitchen shirt tucked in.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of a Twin Peaks Janitor / Busser include, but are not limited to:
* Adhering to uniform standards
* Adhering to policies and procedures that maintain a clean and sanitized restaurant
* Maintain clean and organized stations and equipment
* Ensure HOH Standards, Safety and Sanitation, and GHS requirements are followed at all times
* Ability to work as a team
* Train using tablets or computer
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Any other duty/responsibility that management may deem necessary
* Assisting with opening and closing duties of the restaurant included, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, cleaning tables, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a Janitor Busser.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate in English. Must be able understand the policies and procedures used to clean and sanitize a restaurant.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must attend orientation and agree to policies and procedures as outlined in the Twin Peaks training. Must attend and successfully complete the training program prior to working a shift without supervision. Must successfully attend and complete any and all other required training in compliance with local and state regulations, such as food and/or alcohol service certifications.

Merit Increases/Pay for Performance

The City of Rockwall offers an optional deferred compensation 457 plan in which employees can contribute a portion of their salary, before taxes, to a retirement account.
Longevity
After completing one year of continuous service, employees will receive $5/month for Longevity Pay. This benefit is usually paid out each December.
Supplemental Benefits
The City of Rockwall also offers optional programs that include Short and Long Term Disability through AFLAC.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Participation in Flexible Spending Accounts through pre-tax payroll deduction for Health and Dependent Care expenses is also available for full time employees.
Wellness Program

University Centers and Events (UCE) encompasses the University Union, Gateway Center and Coliseum. University Centers and Events (UCE), provides quality programs, services, and facilities that enhance the educational experience and create a community for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. Position Overview
This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitation work within the Coliseum and/or Gateway Center. This position also performs various physically demanding semiskilled manual tasks necessary to prepare for public events, such as erecting stages, tables, chairs and operation of audio/visual equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
There are no minimum education or experience requirements. Employees in this job may be responsible for conducting research on, working on, or having the ability to access critical organizational infrastructure and they must be able to maintain the security and integrity of the infrastructure related to this role.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions ability to read and understand labels on chemicals. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to complete tasks (example: measuring and mixing chemicals). The Facilities - Custodian will follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. This position reports to a Team Leader and a Shift Supervisor.
Responsibilities + Duties:
Support the Facilities Director and Supervisors.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Respond to the facility needs of both Oaks Church and Life School.
Assist in general upkeep and appearance of the property.
Respond to additional directives from supervisors as needed.

Qualifications
High school or GED graduate or higher.
Custodial experience preferred

Ability to read and verbally understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures in English and communicate with Team Leaders and Supervisors effectively.
Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed.
Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies and chemicals according to manufacturer recommendations and established cleaning routines.
Ability to follow protocols for infection prevention including flu and covid.
This is a full-time hourly position and will require up to 40 hours per week.
Other training, events, gatherings, etc., as needed.
This position may offer overtime opportunities.
Abide by the Facilities Department Time and Attendance Standard
Custodial experience preferred.
Valid Texas driver's license

General Expectations
Maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning of floors, whiteboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
Keep buildings and grounds neat and clean, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas.
Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and request additional supplies as needed.
Complete all specified tasks on building/section cleaning scopes.
Assist with set-ups, including arranging tables and chairs.
Assist with laundry of table clothes and towels.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure students and staff's comfort, health, and safety.
Make minor building repairs as needed and report major repair needs to the supervisor.
Move furniture or equipment within the building as directed by Oaks Staff and Shift Supervisor.
Assist in setting up facilities for special events.
Utilize task management systems to track and complete tasks efficiently.
Assist with opening and closing the building each school day, ensuring that all exit doors are open and all hardware works correctly during building occupancy hours. Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.

A day in the life:
The Porter is responsible for maintaining the daily cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of public and operational spaces within the building and responds to special Building Management requests and work orders. Monday- Friday 7:00 am- 3:30 pm

Responsibilities
Service all public and operational spaces throughout the building.
Maintain the plaza and parking garage areas as specified.
Ensure elevator cars are clean and presentable.
Preserve the lobby and first impression areas.
Uphold the exterior appearance of the building.
Maintain restroom cleanliness and hygiene.
Check and restock restroom supplies regularly.
Monitor and clean building grounds.
Oversee and maintain the cleanliness of the dock area.
Clean stairwells daily, dust mop stairwells weekly, and damp mop landings and treads monthly.
Assist with snow removal as needed.
Respond to special requests throughout the day.

Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Porter.
Strong communication skills.
