Essential Functions: Supervise children in all Childwatch/YKIDS usage areas. Maintain line of sight and sound at all times. Maintains an open line of communication with supervisors, parents, and children. Maintains a positive attitude and serves as a positive role model. Responsible for the safety and well-being of all children in the program, including changing diapers, toileting assistance, and infant feedings. Engages professionally with parents/members at drop off and pick up. Provides direction and motivation for children in the program. Responsible for being proactive in all aspects of the program and watching for safety concerns or opportunities to engage with children/parents. Helps ensure that the youth program operates in accordance with all safety and childcare standards. Attends all staff meetings and required training programs. This position requires an understanding of and a commitment to the total effort of the YMCA mission and the Christian principles upon which it was founded.
