Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Incorporates doctor-prescribed treatment plan for general dentistry patients with insurance and financing. • Communicates effectively with patients and/or legal guardian regarding proposed treatment plan and associated financial cost. • Communicates effectively, courteously, and professionally with patients, parents/legal guardians, and clinical and administrative staff. • Informs patient of their fiscal responsibilities with respect to their particular insurance coverage. • Assists patients with third party billing systems utilized by Dental Depot, i.e., CareCredit. • Reviews dental records for proper coding. • Reviews treatment plan with Doctor or Dental office Manager prior to presenting to patients. • Understands and utilizes CDT codes. • Posts and reviews general dentistry payments and procedures. • Balances day sheet for general dentistry and closes the office at least one night per week. • Works with administrative and clinical staff to assure that firm financial arrangements are made for patient treatment. • Monitors patient accounts. • Conducts general dentistry patient recall. • Treats patients, visitors and co-workers with respect and courtesy. • Proficiently uses conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques in managing interpersonal conflict and patient complaints. • Efficiently operates assigned computer software (i.e., Eaglesoft, and Microsoft Office Suite). • Prepares and delivers reports on time. • Assists with commencing same day patient treatment and scheduling follow-up appointments. • Create and follow up with Medicaid pre-authorizations. • Prepare financial over the counter reports daily. • Documents financial arrangements on the Patient Financial Arrangements form. • Communicate patient concerns to Dental Office Manager or Doctor. • Complies with: Dental Depot policies and procedures; OSHA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations; and HIPAA policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. • Position may be required to relocate to other Dental Depot clinics either permanently or on a short term basis due to office needs, on an as needed basis at the discretion of Management. • Maintain regular and reliable attendance Skills & Abilities Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required Experience: No prior experience necessary Certifications & Licenses: None Computer Skills: Efficiently operates assigned computer software and other equipment, including Eaglesoft and Microsoft Office Suite. Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, proof of valid vehicle insurance and must have annual Motor Vehicle Record Check, as a condition of employment if employee operates any Company owned vehicles or drives their own personal vehicle for Company business purposes. Familiar with 10 key or calculator. Must have knowledge of CDT Codes and pass the bi-annual Dental Depot CDT codes test. High-Risk Cardiology High acuity telemetry units Patients are admitted from ED, CCU, admitting, procedure areas and other hospital units, and from outside hospitals. Most of our patient population is those diagnosed with myocardial infarction requiring cardiac catheterization, congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, and pulmonary hypertension. Cardiac PCU Most patients are diagnosed with congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, and other life-threatening conditions. With this known diagnosis many may require cardiac catheterization and stent placement. As a leader in advanced therapies for heart failure, we offer care to pre- and post- heart transplant and Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients. This unit specifically cares for readmitted LVADs and manage complex issues like pump clots, stroke, and manage medications. Vascular Surgery PCU Our nursing staff provides pre/post-operative care to the wide variety of interventions needed for peripheral vascular disease patients. Surgical services include endoluminal and open repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, thoracic outlet decompression, carotid artery angioplasty/stenting, carotid endarterectomies, dialysis access (fistulas/grafts), catheter-directed thrombolysis, and various bypasses and stents for aorto-iliac and upper/lower extremity occlusive disease. Cardiothoracic PCU Post Thoracic Surgery patients ranging from lung transplants, lung surgeries, and esophagectomy. In addition, we care for the Cardiothoracic population after they stabilize from the ICU. We will take care of Pre/Post CABG, Valve Repairs, Heart transplants, and other surgical procedures. Cardiac Surgery PCU We provide post-operative care to cardiac surgery patients. Our most frequent procedures are CABG (coronary artery bypass graft), Cardiac Valve Repair/Replacement, LVAD (left ventricular device implantation), Aortic repairs, and MAZE. Cardiac ICU Patients with MIs, cardiomyopathies and a variety of irregular rhythms, including life-threatening v-fib and v-tach, device designated floor LVAD, IMPELLA, intra-aortic ballon pump, Non post operative side, pre surgical heart intervention patients. Cardiothoracic ICU Patients are CTICU, had surgery from their esophagus to diaphragm, open heart surgery, cabbages, valve replacements, active heart failure program (heart is failing and only thing to do for is to add devices) ventricular assist device. Division 2100 is a fast paced high risk cardiology division at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. We care for a variety of cardiology patients including congestive heart failure, left ventricular assist devices, post cardiac device implantation, post EP and Stent procedures. The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills and clinical expertise to continually assess the patients' status. The Staff Nurse (RN) must be certified in BLS and obtain ACLS certification within 1 year of working on the division.
