As an Engineer at PLP's headquarters, you will help provide product engineering services, including product development, product modifications, and technical service. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide technical support to Marketing and Manufacturing for existing product offerings. Evaluates alternative materials for cost reductions/improved performance. Helps with new product development and product modification work. Helps to develop product parameters, specifications, and engineering drawings. In conjunction with his supervisor and the Purchasing Department, works with vendors concerning tooling and part fabrication issues. In the product development process helps consider: Regulator issues Safety regulations Application procedures Quality acceptance criteria Verification Analysis Design review requirements Helps provide technical performance data necessary to support the sale of new and modified products. Helps extend, after proper testing and engineering evaluation, existing products to affect greater use by customers.
