A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for varied engineering assignments requiring a broad knowledge of an engineering specialty. He/she uses and applies advanced engineering principles and has a working knowledge of advanced technical research with a particular field of specialization. He/she plans, conducts, and coordinates engineering assignments. He/she participates in planning objectives; evaluates complex, special and advanced engineering tasks; and, investigates and advises on unusual and difficult problems encountered in an engineering practice. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Participates in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with internal teams. Reviews drawings, 3D models, and specifications to facilitate manufacturability.
Creates, requests, and/or updates various documentation including customer-specific requirements, non-disclosure agreements, routings, and Bill of Materials.
Assists in designing and managing the fabrication or acquisition of fixtures used in various processes. Ensures the successful implementation of fixtures on the production floor.
Participates in and occasionally leads problem solving teams utilizing lean manufacturing methods.
Assists in creating programs (such as Laser Marking programs),3D models, associates fixtures, drawings, templates, overlays, etc.
Collaborates with Operations Analysts to ensure data is available, monitored, and reported with a consistent approach. Supports implementation of any management system at the site level.
Participates in ensuring processes are in place to deliver site annual and strategic objectives, including but not limited to OEE and VAPD performance, productivity, capacity planning, and capital investment.
Participates in the required training that is delivered to the site team in support of site goals, objectives, and program management milestones. Occasionally authors work instructions for new processes.
Ensures key program implementation milestones are understood, communicated, and aligned.
Participates in planning objectives. Evaluates complex, special and advanced engineering tasks.
Plans, conducts and coordinates engineering assignments as directed by Engineering manager or director.
Investigates and advises on unusual and difficult problems encountered in an engineering practice.
Assists in creating Standard Work Instructions for various operations.

Demonstrated experience developing fluid system functional architecture, schematics, and analytical models and troubleshooting.
Experience with root cause and corrective activities.
Solid modeling experience with NX and/or Creo desired.

Ability to travel up to 20% to other facilities and military installations if needed.

Job Description
We have an immediate opening for a Commissioning Specialist/Field Engineer to join our Commerce Twp., MI office. This key role will be an integral part of a team dedicated to installation and service. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude.
Primary Role
The primary role of the AV Commissioning Specialist is setting up and commissioning audio-visual equipment for customers. The Commissioning Specialist will lead, support, and interact with technicians, programmers, and customers.
Detailed Activities
Perform preventative maintenance services, routine testing, and problem diagnosis of integrated systems
Read and interpret architectural drawings, electronic schematics, and blueprints
Test point-to-point functionality of systems and confirm signal flow for audio, video, and control
Review project Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure quality and completeness of installation
Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting for AMX/Crestron and DSP systems
Field installation of control programs (AMX/Crestron) - upload and download capability
Write code for DSP systems
Make minor programming changes under the direction of an engineer or programmer
Fine tune audio video systems to ensure optimal performance
Configure IP addressable devices to establish communication on a network
Perform client training and final job documentation as needed
Act as a customer liaison in absence of Project Manager
Create, track, and complete a project Punchlist
Travel to various job sites required
Communicate and interact with colleagues and customers in a professional and timely manner
Write effective business communication and reports
Utilize test and calibration equipment
Conduct user acceptance testing
Conduct basic programming (Crestron/AMX) changes and troubleshoot issues
Diagnose complex system problems
Configure IP networking
Set up workstations (PC) on systems
Install and integrate innovative AV technologies from manufacturers such as Barco, Biamp, Christie Digital, Crestron, Extron, Middle Atlantic, NVIDIA, Poly, Samsung, Shure, Sony and Microsoft Teams

Ability to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 35 feet; lifting equipment, tools, and materials.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of AV systems, and working knowledge of wall/ceiling construction techniques
Minimum 5 years of AV Integration experience preferred
Valid Driver's License and clean Motor Vehicle Record
