Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
Provide complete task management of engineering issues.
Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop 3D models and technical drawings from client specifications.
* Use Autodesk Inventor &AutoCAD to create submittal drawings & coordination models.
* Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings and accurate documentation.
* Review and validate work for accuracy and compliance.
* Communicate with clients to ensure designs meet their needs.
* Provide product knowledge and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
Education, Experience, Certifications:
* Education: Associate's degree in CAD required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Experience: 1-2 years of relevant CAD design experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor preferred, with consideration given to proficiency in SolidWorks, or Creo/ProE.
* Strong AutoCAD and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word).
* Detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to learn.
Other Requirements:
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must have the ability to communicate information in speaking and writing so others will understand.
* Must be able to see details at close range.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design & Engineering

* Incorporate mold flow or machining simulation feedback into final designs.
* Fabrication & Toolmaking
* Manufacture tooling in-house using manual and CNC machining equipment, additive manufacturing, and standard shop tools.
* Assemble, fit, and finish molds, patterns, and fixtures to meet production specifications.
* Troubleshoot and repair tooling to minimize downtime.
* CNC Programming
* Develop and optimize CNC programs (3-, 4-, and 5-axis as applicable) for fixture components, patterns, and production parts.
* Select tooling, work holding, and cutting strategies to improve cycle time, quality, and tool life.
* Validate programs through simulation and on-machine prove-out.
* Cross-Functional Startup Support
* Shift seamlessly between design, hands-on toolmaking, and programming depending on production priorities.
* Support first-run trials, PPAPs, and process optimization efforts.
* Maintain accurate documentation and revision control for tooling and programs.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience designing and building machining fixtures, permanent molds, and patterns.
* Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) and CAM (Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.) software.
* Strong CNC programming skills and hands-on machining experience.
* Familiarity with aluminum casting and machining processes preferred.

Tri-City Group is currently seeking a Project Engineer for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. The Project Engineer is responsible for on-site administrative and technical support on construction project sites.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Complete projects on time, within budget and meet the quality demands of our clients
Assist in research and documentation of the procurement of all major equipment packages
Help with the tracking of progress and adherence of the scope of all sub-contractors to be utilized
Assist in the management (scheduling and receiving direction) of all owners furnished equipment
Assist in the logistics of all major package delivery and storage
Administratively support the tracking and logging of all information required within the Procurement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Commissioning activities under the direction of the Project Manager
Support the Project Manager in all areas including, procurement, purchasing, subcontract and lease agreements, and equipment tracking
Maintain Company presence during project meetings - Jobsite construction and coordination meetings
Assist in tracking project schedule utilizing Primavera P6 software

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management
1 or more years of related experience in Construction Administration, Construction management, and/or related education and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Primavera P6 is a plus.
OSHA 30 (preferred) If not certified, willingness to obtain upon hire.
