What You'll Do
Assist with preparing and updating shop drawings based on contract documents
Learn to read and interpret construction drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel
Help check drawings for accuracy and completeness before they are sent for approval or fabrication
Enter and maintain drawing updates in our project files
Support coordination between detailing, fabrication, and field teams
Participate in training to learn company and industry detailing standards
Perform basic measuring and data collection tasks during site visits (with supervision)
Carry out other entry-level duties as assigned to support the Project Manager and subcontractors
What You'll Bring
Basic understanding of drafting principles; construction knowledge is a plus but not required
Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SDS/2, or Tekla a plus, but not required - training provided)
Strong attention to detail, a positive “can-do” attitude, and an eagerness to learn

Experience
2-4 year college degree required
Coursework in drafting, engineering, or related field preferred, but not required

Responsibilities
We are hiring now for immediate openings. Responsibilities include:
Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
Wash, clean and dry the vehicle's exterior - this might include cars of different sizes, as well as vans and trucks
Check fuel level and warning lights: inspect windshield for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle setting to clear prior customer data; check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found; verify that registration is present, current and matches the license plate
Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition, pressure and tread depth; inspect vehicle exterior for damage
Fuel and stage vehicle
Inspect vehicle for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or vehicle/windshield/tire damage; pull vehicle out of the prep processing as necessary
Maintains a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions
Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
Assists customers when needed. May transport customers to and from the branches
Helps maintain overall site appearance including general cleaning of interior and exteriors of branch locations
Site appearance responsibilities to include: desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot and any other miscellaneous tasks related to the daily cleanliness of the branch location

SUMMARY
Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows, and wipes down doorjambs.
Applies wax to auto body, and wipes or buffs surface.
Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
Cleans upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals.
Applies special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations.
Uses proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
Keeps work area neat and clean.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
MARGINAL DUTIES include the following.
Driving customer shuttle van.
Housekeeping for Body Shop repair, customer, and office areas
Other duties may be assigned.
Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation.
Restores appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces. Uses touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials.
Fills vehicle with fuel.
Replaces missing or defective small parts.

Basic Job Functions:
Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication's safety programs and standards.

Verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda and other contractual information from the routing sheet or directly from the business system.

Bring any change(s) made to the contract documents to the attention of your supervisor (i.e. change made of the approval drawings, changes made by the field or yourself).
Detail accessories, mesh, couplers and dowel bars and prepare material lists as required.
Work with job site personnel to determine project requirements for detailing and delivery of material.
Work with A/E regarding problems or questions on contract documents.
Produce the material list for all products from RebarCAD and produce replacement orders as required.
Enter all drawings for submission into the drawing tracking system.
Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
