Must pass background check and a pre-employment drug screen. JCMTD offers paid training. $1,000 bonus once CDL are obtained. Completes daily vehicle inspections. All applicants must submit a written employment application that can be picked up from the JCMTD office or printed from the website (jcmtd.com). Keeps accurate trip records. Operate assigned routes. Collect fares. Cleaning, fueling, and report maintenance repairs needed. Maneuver and secure special equipment and wheelchairs. Use correct two-way radio procedures. Great customer service. Drivers must have the ability to lift 50 pounds to assist clients and bend, stoop, and kneel to do wheelchair securement. Classroom driver training will be a minimum of five (5) days. Drivers must have a Commercial Drivers License physical and successfully pass the CDL core of knowledge, passenger, and air break tests within 30 days of employment.
