Interact with families, funeral staff, and EPIARX staff in a respectful, professional manner
Keep the transport van clean, well-maintained, and stocked with supplies
Assist with transferring individuals from trays or gurneys as needed
Coordinate release and receipt processes, including light administrative documentation
Ensure documentation and timely submission of invoices to EPIARX billing staff
Respond to on-call transport requests, sometimes on short notice
Occasionally support longer-distance transports, including overnight assignments
Requirements
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening (required)
Prior professional driving experience (required)
Prior experience with medical, healthcare, autopsy, mortuary, or funeral home transport is highly desirable
Comfort working in close proximity to deceased individuals
Physical ability to lift, push, and move gurneys safely and respectfully
Calm, professional demeanor in emotionally sensitive situations
Strong reliability, discretion, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Basic comfort with email, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office (required)
Who Thrives in This Role
You are someone who:
Remains composed and courteous under emotional pressure
Takes pride in meaningful, behind-the-scenes work
Values professionalism, respect, and service
Prefers a focused environment and flexible, on-call scheduling
