An Electrical Control Technician at Encore Wire will be primarily responsible for the safe rectification of machinery and equipment used in the various production plants and throughout the facility as directed by Supervision or Company dictated equipment priority. The Control Technician must be able to work on all facility wide electrical systems. A good understanding and experience of all mechanical and electrical disciplines is needed, these would include hydraulics and pneumatics. Essential Job Functions Experience and technical knowledge of the operation of AC and DC drives. A thorough understanding of speed feedback devices theory and operation. An understanding of temperature control and temperature components. A good understanding of PID and control loops. A good understanding of Ethernet communications and connections. Proficient in PLC and HMI systems, to include communications drivers and connections, PLC program navigation and controlled manipulation. A thorough understanding of all electrical components and electronic devices. Show an understanding and demonstrate the processes involved in diagnosing defective components, motors, drives and electronic components. Able to demonstrate the ability to use diagnostic equipment. Duties and Responsibilities is fully remote in that you must be able to travel 100% of the time to the job site. Must be fully qualified and capable of working directly with project management to understand and evaluate scheduled electrical work needed to complete projects in a timely manner. Must be capable of performing all duties associated with the crew lead position and in addition. Must be able to self-prepare for all scopes of electrical work needed by evaluating pictures from site assessment and communicating directly with the project management and design team about any necessary changes or improvements to the electrical plan set. These changes must be documented and sent to the project management team. Must maintain tools and materials needed to “adapt and overcome” any challenges in the field including utility shutdowns. Must be capable of communicating at a high level with city inspectors. Must maintain a 90% or higher pass rate on all electrical equipment wall installations and maintain less than 10% of service calls generated by installation-related quality issues. Must be capable of cross-training and crew development when assigned to supervise and support solar installation crews, allowing roof crew leads to self-perform installations while maintaining consistent quality by performing and documenting (pictures) quality control checks at specific points during the installation process. Must be capable of supervising the crew while the electrical apprentice ( roof lead or other designated person by management) gets to experience electrical wall installation and service upgrades. Must have required personal tools of the trade, see “minimum required personal tools of the trade”. During the first 90 days you will be required to learn how to install Tesla Powerwall coupled with Enphase solar systems. We will be looking to you to run your own crew with a helper installing power walls and solar systems. By the end of the 90 days, you will be required to take a proficiency test. This test will include you installing a complete battery and solar system without the help of the lead electrician at Good Faith Energy. You must pass this test to be a lead electrician for Good Faith Energy. We will provide you with all the on-the-job training as well as classroom materials to advance your knowledge of the systems you will be installing. Attends all meetings and conference calls. This will require weekly and monthly inspections of equipment and good record keeping ability Assist in on-the-job training of apprentice electricians, technicians, and uphold RECARO expectations of contractors Adhere to the RECARO Lock out/Tag out program, work with Arc Flash equipment, and other OSHA requirements and standards Participate in ariel work, overhead lifting activities, loading and unloading of equipment, and other setup and relocation of heavy equipment or objects Light plumbing, fabricating, painting, housekeeping, groundskeeping, facilities inspection overhead doors repairs, events setup and teardown, inclement weather preparations, assisting other tradesman and emergency repairs Promoted good housekeeping including adherence to Bloodborne Pathogens standards and maintain an organized work area Coordinate with external vendors Maintain compliance with Federal and State Environmental regulations and agencies within RECARO guidelines Operate forklift, scissor/boom man lifts, company vehicles and other necessary equipment to perform job duties Able to work periodic weekends and evenings to accomplish certain tasks in non-production hours to minimize the impact to production Motivated self-starter who can manage tasks and projects and make decisions, and is also willing to be apart of a high performing team Requirements: Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: Possess Journeyman Electrical license At least 5 years Journeyman Electrician experience, Industrial Electrical experience preferred Must be able to use multi-meters, meggar, amp probe, thermal imaging devices and other instruments used in troubleshooting electrical equipment Basic knowledge of National Electrical Code High school diploma or equivalent At least 5 years experience in some type of maintenance support in manufacturing environment Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic business environment Ability to read/comprehend electrical schematics and technical information Work effectively as a team member Prioritize and complete multiple tasks and responsibilities Certificates and Licenses: Journeyman Electrical License Valid Drivers License
