Job Responsibilities
• Repair and replace defective parts in generators, motors, controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors and other electrical fixtures.

Position Summary
Lee Machinery Movers is seeking a talented Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Pontiac, Michigan. As an individual in this position, you will be responsible for various electrical duties working alongside experienced Journeymen electricians and gaining hands-on experience, including installation, repair, and servicing of electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings. Your role will involve assisting with testing, troubleshooting, and replacing electrical components under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Attending electrical trade school to work toward the required educational hours for the electrical apprenticeship
Installing, repairing, and servicing electrical systems & components
Providing support to maintain electrical systems by identifying and resolving potential issues
Testing and troubleshooting systems.
Interpreting blueprints and drawing rough sketches when required via direction from the electrical foreman.
Stocking supplied equipment, tools, and materials for projects.
Providing assistance during emergencies
Managing workload, tasks, and on-the-job (OTJ) training requirements by diligently following and keeping up with the training provided by the Journeyman
Adhering to all safety protocols and electrical standards
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or similar
A valid driver's license
A valid Apprentice Electrician license
Experience with power tools and other equipment used in construction.
Exceptional customer service skills
Outstanding communication skills, including written and verbal communication
Knowledge of health and OSHA codes
Physical Requirements
Ability to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at height
Ability to work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment
Ability to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
Ability to stand for long periods of time, push, pull, bend, stoop, crouch, and crawl
Ability to successfully pass a 10-panel drug screen (as needed)

Performs a broad range of activities related to traffic engineering including conducting joint field layouts with signal contractors and utility companies for traffic signal and overhead sign installations.
