SLOT TECHNICIAN I
Electronics technician job in Bristol, VA
The Slot Technician I is responsible for performing a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines, with infrequent assistance; possesses extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electronic aspects of slot machine repair; provides training or assistance to lesser experienced technicians.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* The Slot Technician I will analyze and respond to a variety of customer service related issues.
* Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of component level electronic circuitry in gaming devices.
* Responsible for the installation and removal of gaming devices.
* Day to day preventative maintenance; troubleshoots ticket-in ticket-out and coin machines; performs hopper tests; clears coin jams and bill validator jams.
* Assists in game conversions and firmware upgrades.
* Investigates and verifies any ticket issues.
* Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
* Maintains and calibrates currency validators, executes machine moves, game conversions, installations, and floor upgrade of current ticket-in ticket out products.
* Responsible to investigate device malfunctions of various gaming devices and clears coin bill and coin jams.
* Performs the day to day repair and preventative maintenance of all slot machines. Performs other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
* Perform work regularly, predictably and in a professional manner.
* Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
* Perform work regularly and adheres to all Virginia Lottery Regulations.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Attend seminars when needed.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must have good communications skills. Must have basic computer skills. Must have electronic background or minimum two-year experience in slot operations. Must have two (2) or more years' experience in the Gaming Industry or an equivalent customer service environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):
* Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
* Must successfully pass background check.
* Must successfully pass drug screening.
* Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
* Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
* Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
* Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
* Team Leadership and motivational skills.
* Electronics at the circuit board level.
* Technical experience and training with slots.
* Electronic and computer programming.

This role provides field-based engineering assistance to NRCS staff across designated Area and Field Offices. Technicians are responsible for conducting engineering surveys, assisting with project implementation, performing construction inspections, and supporting documentation and compliance efforts. The position plays a vital role in advancing NRCSs conservation mission by ensuring timely, accurate, and safe execution of engineering tasks in diverse field environments
Key Responsibilities
Conduct engineering surveys and inspections for conservation projects
Assist with project documentation, implementation, and reporting
Operate and troubleshoot surveying equipment (e.g., GPS, total stations)
Develop and interpret engineering drawings using AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Maintain accurate construction diaries and compliance documentation
Ensure adherence to NRCS specifications, OSHA safety standards, and environmental regulations
Travel to field sites and other NRCS offices across Tennessee as needed
