Chemours is seeking a Rotating Mechanical Engineer to join our growing TSS team. This position will be available at the Corpus Christi Plant located in Ingleside, TX and report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.
This role will serve as a Plant Support Engineer for one or more areas of the Chemours Assets at this facility. The individual will provide overall Mechanical Engineering guidance and support for the Operations, Maintenance, and Technology Teams for their area(s). This role will entail involvement in day-to-day troubleshooting in the plant, as well as support for improvement programs in the areas of Safety (PSM), UPTIME, reliability, cost, new capital installations, etc.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
The operating units are designated as highly hazardous processes (OSHA PSM Covered Processes). The role will include but are not be limited to the following:
Provide mechanical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying operating equipment and facilities
Provide technical troubleshooting and training to the operating and maintenance teams
Provide Mechanical expertise for project work to ensure its compliance with specifications, engineering standards and quality assurance
Lead PSM criticality assessment process to ensure adequate rationale is provided to develop and manage the MIQA effort, including critical spare parts, SAP data, inspection plans and frequencies, and maintenance procedures
Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and uptime data to recommend and justify improvements to obtain lowest life cycle cost on different classes of equipment
Leads and participates in Safety, Reliability and Quality Investigations
Participate in maintenance and reliability networks and share best practices, successes, and failures
Perform failure mode and effect analyses to develop appropriate equipment maintenance plans to include equipment checks and predictive preventative maintenance (PPM) performed by operations and mechanics.
Provides support for both cost and capital projects, including scoping out, justifying, and coordinating installation of new/modified facilities
Maintain personal level of technical expertise in key technologies via training, seminars, and professional organizations
Provide shift/weekend coverage for start-ups, tests, maintenance Turnarounds or other non-routine needs

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
5 years of related industrial / manufacturing work experience in Rotating equipment (will consider degree relevant intern / co-op experience counting toward this requirement)
Rotating equipment and alignment techniques, and basic materials science including material selection and properties.
Lubrication fundamentals and tribology techniques.
Basic pumps principles, understanding performance curves. Mechanical seals API plans.
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering rotating equipment principles
Strong ability to diagnose and solve technical problems - making data-based decisions.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong customer focus and ability to conceptualize customer needs based on customer input. Proven ability to effectively communicate through all levels of an organization
Prior experience working with technical resources and/or field personnel in operations troubleshooting activities
High degree of initiative and flexibility to move projects forward safely and in a timely manner
Proven ability to prioritize and manage short duration deadlines, emergency situations, and multiple priorities
Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as steel toes, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, respirators, etc.

Root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), data analysis techniques and statistical interpretation skills, failure analysis including preservation of evidence techniques, and engineering design standards and their application, Cost/Capital analysis and justification

Job Description
We are considering applicant at two different levels for this position. Candidates will be assessed and selected based on the highest grade for which they qualify.
What You'll Do:
· Design and develop electric distribution network layouts and configurations.
· Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for projects.
· Perform cable rating studies and cable pulling calculations.

Overview
We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a leading refinery operation in Corpus Christi, TX. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, integrity, and performance of rotating and reciprocating equipment across the facility. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a drive to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide reliability and maintenance engineering support for rotating and reciprocating equipment to improve safety, environmental compliance, and unit availability.
Troubleshoot and support maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades in alignment with API and industry best practices.
Utilize condition monitoring tools (vibration analysis, oil analysis, operational data) to recommend corrective actions and perform equipment failure analysis.
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and develop long-term reliability solutions.
Support development and execution of maintenance plans, spare parts strategies, and equipment standards.
Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on rotating equipment reliability practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
3+ years of engineering experience in refining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
Familiarity with rotating equipment standards and systems (ASME, API, PIP, ANSI).
Working knowledge of API standards and industry best practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card.
Preferred Qualifications
Vibration Analysis Level II Certification.
Experience with API 610 (pumps) and API 682 (mechanical seals).
Hands-on experience with SAP or similar CMMS.
Background in root cause analysis (RCA) and cause mapping.
Familiarity with critical equipment repair standards and condition monitoring programs.

Chemours is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Fixed Equipment to join our growing Thermal & Specialized Solutions Business team. The position will be available at the Chemours Corpus Christi Plant located in Ingleside, TX and report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.
This role will serve as a Plant Support Engineer for one or more areas of the assets at this facility. The individual will provide overall Mechanical Engineering guidance and support for the Operations, Maintenance, and Technology Teams for their area(s). This role will entail involvement in day-to-day troubleshooting in the plant, as well as support for improvement programs in the areas of Safety (PSM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reliability, cost, and new capital installations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide mechanical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying operating equipment and facilities.
Provide technical troubleshooting and training for the operating and maintenance teams.
Provide Mechanical expertise for project work to ensure its compliance with specifications, engineering standards and quality assurance.
Lead PSM criticality assessment process to ensure adequate rationale is provided to develop and manage the MIQA effort, including critical spare parts, SAP data, inspection plans and frequencies, and maintenance procedures.
Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and uptime data to recommend and justify improvements to obtain the lowest life cycle cost on different classes of equipment.
Leads and participates in Safety, Reliability and Quality Investigations.
Participate in maintenance and reliability networks and share best practices, successes, and failures.
Perform failure mode and effect analyses to develop appropriate equipment maintenance plans to include equipment checks and predictive preventative maintenance (PPM) performed by operators and mechanics.
Provides support for both cost and capital projects, including scope development, justification, and coordinating installation of new/modified facilities.
Maintain personal level of technical expertise in key technologies via training, seminars, and professional organizations.
Provide shift/weekend coverage for start-ups, tests, maintenance turnarounds, or other non-routine needs.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
2+ years of related industrial / manufacturing work experience in fixed equipment (will consider up to 1 year of degree relevant intern / co-op experience).
Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering fixed equipment principles (piping, pressure vessels, valves, and welding).
Ability to diagnose and solve technical problems - making data-based decisions.
Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong customer focus and ability to conceptualize customer needs based on customer input. Proven ability to effectively communicate through all levels of an organization.
High degree of initiative and flexibility to move projects forward safely and in a timely manner.

The Project Engineer is responsible for delivering all assigned engineering services as agreed, to ensure they are being executed per the contract, established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), regulatory and legal requirements, and responsible for communicating regularly with the client counterparts to develop a relationship that leads to follow-on work.
To be responsible in coordinating the production of engineering deliverables and provides progress reporting for a project in accordance with the project plan. Supports the management of the interfaces between engineering offices, engineering disciplines, project controls, procurement and third-party contractors or suppliers.

Ensure that assigned projects are executed in accordance with Project Procedures (e.g. Project Execution Plan, Engineering Directives), Kent Quality Process, Client Standards, and applicable Industry Codes and Regulatory Requirements.
Clarify and communicate the project scope to Team members. The Project Engineer is the custodian of the work scope and shall work with the Client and the Team to resolve discipline scope queries.
Organize and lead project engineering meetings, ensures participation from the Team.
Ensures that project registers (e.g. needs, actions, risks, etc.) are populated and maintained.
Recognize and proactively resolve Inter-Discipline, Vendor, and Client interface issues to ensure the timely flow of accurate information.
Ensure schedules are developed in accordance with Client expectations and project needs. The Project Engineer shall work with the Team to ensure a correct sequence of work (e.g. predecessor / successor) and key interfaces with the Client and third parties (e.g. data exchange, review cycles) are reflected in the schedule.
Ensure staffing needs for assigned projects are reflected in associated staffing plans.
Monitor project performance and communicate performance and issues as appropriate to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure all project reporting requirements - both internal and external - are met.
Ensure project team members execute timely change management with clear communication to both internal interfaces (e.g. internal functions such as engineering, procurement, etc.) and external interfaces (e.g. Client, Vendor).
Ensure proper project documentation is maintained from project initiation to close-out.
Ensure work hour estimates are scope compliant and developed in accordance with the established workshare division of responsibility (DOR) and deliverable / activity norms.
Support field work as needed (RFI, kick off meetings, walk-downs, etc.).
Assist in developing RFQ packages and vendor interfacing and expediting.
Assists in the production of the project execution plan as needed.
Coordinates the interfaces between the Engineering team and the Project Management team and ensures effective transfer of information.
Performs related duties as and when instructed by Direct Supervisor.

These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. 5 years' industry experience with 3 years minimum in a Multi-discipline Project Engineering Role.
Brownfield Experience. Small Capital and Expense Projects. FEED and Detailed Design Scopes.
Refining / Petrochemical Experience.
USGC (US Gulf Coast) Experience.
Multiple Office Execution / HVEC Experience.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering / Engineering Technology from an ABET Accredited Degree Program.
PE License preferred.
Communication:

Chemours is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Fixed Equipment to join our growing TSS business team. This position will be available at the Corpus Christi Plant in Ingleside, TX and report directly to the Manufacturing Technology Manager.
This role will serve as a Plant Support Engineer for one or more areas of the assets at this facility. The individual will provide overall Mechanical Engineering guidance and support for the Operations, Maintenance, and Technology Teams for their area(s). This role will entail involvement in day-to-day troubleshooting in the plant, as well as support for improvement programs in the areas of Safety (PSM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), reliability, cost, and new capital installations.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide mechanical expertise for troubleshooting, maintaining, and modifying operating equipment and facilities.
Provide technical troubleshooting and training for the operating and maintenance teams.
Provide Mechanical expertise for project work to ensure its compliance with specifications, engineering standards and quality assurance.
Lead PSM criticality assessment process to ensure adequate rationale is provided to develop and manage the MIQA effort, including critical spare parts, SAP data, inspection plans and frequencies, and maintenance procedures.
Analyze equipment trends, historical data, and uptime data to recommend and justify improvements to obtain lowest life cycle cost on different classes of equipment.
Leads and participates in Safety, Reliability and Quality Investigations
Participate in maintenance and reliability networks and share best practices, successes, and failures.
Perform failure mode and effect analyses to develop appropriate equipment maintenance plans to include equipment checks and predictive preventative maintenance (PPM) performed by operators and mechanics.
Provides support for both cost and capital projects, including scope development, justification, and coordinating installation of new/modified facilities
Maintain personal level of technical expertise in key technologies via training, seminars, and professional organizations
Provide shift/weekend coverage for start-ups, tests, maintenance turnarounds, or other non-routine needs.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or strongly related degree from an ABET accredited university.
11+ years of related industrial / manufacturing work experience in Fixed Equipment (will consider degree relevant intern / co-op experience counting toward this requirement).
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical engineering fixed equipment principles in relation to the chemical process industry
Strong background in the following:
Maintenance and reliability best practices including the work management process and basic materials science including material selection and properties.
Knowledge in related fields such as non-destructive testing, welding, fabrication, working with third party fabricators.
Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME Piping Codes and API Codes, welding and fabrication processes and repair procedures.
Root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), data analysis techniques and statistical interpretation skills, failure analysis including preservation of evidence techniques, engineering design standards and their application, Cost/Capital analysis and justification.
Demonstrated skill to diagnose and solve technical problems - making data-based decisions.
Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong customer focus and ability to conceptualize customer needs based on customer input. Proven ability to effectively communicate through all levels of an organization.
High degree of initiative and flexibility to move projects forward safely and in a timely manner.
