The Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering (MIME) at The University of Toledo invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Materials, beginning Fall 2026. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate instruction in materials-related areas and will be expected to develop innovative curriculum offerings that align with emerging workforce and industry needs.
The appointee will be expected to build an externally funded research program aligned with regional and national priorities in advanced manufacturing, clean energy, mobility, and semiconductors. Research focus areas may include, but are not limited to:
• Glass sustainability and decarbonization, leveraging the Northwest Ohio Innovation Hub.

Job Overview
