This role will be responsible for the development of site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Qualifications:
Advanced Autodesk Civil 3D is required with the use of pipe/pressure networks, proposed grading surfaces, and plan and profile development.
Must be familiar with plan & profile drawings, alignments, pipe networks, and grading.

Integrate and test liquid cooling systems within the server racks, verifying proper installation and function of pumps, cold plates, radiators/chillers, tubing, and fittings
Perform detailed failure analysis on server hardware and cooling subsystems to identify root causes of test failures or performance issues
Work closely with diagnostic technicians on the production floor to troubleshoot down to the component level when burn-in or functional tests flag errors, and drive rapid resolution of hardware, firmware, or configuration problems
Apply strong problem-solving techniques and use diagnostic tools (logs, Linux command-line utilities, etc.) to isolate issues in both electronic components and the liquid cooling loop
Work with cross functional teams to address corrective actions
Attends team meetings as requested
Uses tools to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.
Support floor test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software
Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.

While the majority of MLEIP internship assignments are STEM-related, all majors are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be:
An undergraduate student who has completed at least 60 semester hours at the end of the spring 2026 semester OR a current graduate student enrollee. Eligible undergraduate AND graduate students enrolled at an accredited educational institution in Texas, across the United States, or outside of the United States may apply. AND
Enrolled full time during the spring semester 2026 and have a minimum academic grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale at the time of application (eligible students who are graduating spring 2026 may apply for summer 2026 internship assignments).
Eligible to work in the United States. (TCEQ may hire international students as MLEIP interns if they are eligible to work in the U.S. however, TCEQ does not sponsor international students).
**Employees in this classification series may research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure, including but not limited to a communication infrastructure system, cybersecurity system, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment system, or water treatment facility. See Tex. Business & Commerce Code Section 117.001(2). Accordingly, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the infrastructure is a requirement to be hired for and to continue to be employed with TCEQ.
HOW TO APPLY

An academic or professional letter of recommendation. There is no specific form or format for the letter of recommendation.
A scanned and legible official or unofficial academic transcript showing courses in progress during the spring semester 2026.
Verification Enrollment Letter for spring semester 2026 from your university registrar (required only if transcript does not list courses in progress during spring semester 2026).
As soon as you obtain any of the supporting documents, attach them to your application.
NOTE: Complete application packages (online application and all supporting documents) received by the February 28, 2026 deadline have the best opportunity for review and selection by sponsors/managers. Incomplete application packages (for example, missing the online application or related documents) may not be considered.

Duties:
* Remotely assist with installs, troubleshooting, and repairs of network, desktop, and voice equipment.
* Monitor and troubleshoot data circuits; escalate issues to vendors as needed.
* Track and resolve tickets in the Helpdesk system.
* Document and manage IT equipment inventory.
* Install and support IT devices, including PCs, servers, VoIP, mobility devices, and infrastructure.
* Assist in IT projects, including research, configuration, and deployment.
* Coordinate IT moves, adds, and changes across yards and offices.
* Update project documentation in Copart's SharePoint.
* Determine and design infrastructure wiring on floor plans.
* Work with vendors to obtain quotes and manage IT purchases.
* Verify IT equipment arrivals and conduct inventory checks.
* Survey sites and report discrepancies.
* Ensure telecommunications circuits and phone lines are operational.
* Expedite Telecom issues and assist with IT installations.
* Conduct connectivity tests for all IT equipment.
* Resolve IT issues on opening day of new sites.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
* Basic knowledge of telecommunications, LAN cabling, and data circuits.
* Self-motivated with good judgment under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Experience with physical network and PC equipment installations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
